Here was me thinking that there'd be about as much of a difference between Normal and Hard mode in this game as there was in KH2 (not very much). Evem though I've started the game at level 40, I'm finding the "Easy" missions difficult - I do a lot of damage but the enemies do more damage, too (about half my HP every time they hit <_<) and I rarely get any chances to gain benefits from the DMW because I beat them so quickly...but I lose a lot of health and MP in the process. So, I use my potions and ethers to restore myself and, before I know it, 99 potions and ethers are GONE.

I've only just met Tseng, too - I'm well not looking forward to doing the rest of the game like this. xD

You had the item that let you exceed 9999 HP and Brute Strength? (it lower your magic though) if you haven't then get them in the older save then start the game in hard mode, that's what I did. xDD

There's that. But you really should try hard mode out with a fresh game. I'm doing that now and just finished the benora village part. My suggestion is to make use of dodge/guard ALOT.

Hard mode is actually easier than easy mode if you've already completed easy mode. Pretty much get your materia fusion right and you can break HP and damage limit easy and Genji Armor can't hurt. If ya want hard to be a breeze complete all the missions on easy mode then play through hard and it will not be a challenge at all

Nope though it IS a challenge with a brand spanking new game where you don't have anything but what you pick up along the way.

I haven't tried hard mode yet, but until reading this I also assumed that there wouldn't be much of a difference between hard mode and normal mode. I wasn't overly powerful in my normal game, last time I checked I was doing a little over 9,000 damage and I had about 30,000 HP. I thought this would be more than enough, but it looks like I was wrong :/

Eh, I have to commend you for taking on hard mode. Usually whenever I play a game, I'll play through once on normal difficulty before I have the balls to step it up a notch. It may be hard as fuck to beat it now... but there probably aren't many people who can say they played it through on hard mode before beating it on normal. Finish it and brag.

Ohhh do not worry I had so much trouble with the missions. Am level 79 and I beat all the missions including the Minerva one. But if you find the missions hard level up or get more powerful.

For the normal storyline game that's true, but if you want to beat all the missions on hard, It's going to be just as hard as it was on easy. You'd have to play through hard once, beating all the missions, then redo hard for it be easy.

No...what item is this? Is it the one behind the waterfall after you kill Hollander, something about Goblins? I missed out on it. xD

How is "making it more difficult for yourself" going to make it easier? xD

I'd do that but 1) the enemies I can beat are too weak to give me many level ups (I've only had one since I started the game, I'm now on chapter 6 - level 39-40 was the only level up I've had) and the enemies that might give me more experience are the ones giving me a tough time. :wacky:
