Oh I don't even want to think about the confusion. Final Fantasy 6 (3) was the first Final Fantasy game I played and when seven finally came out a couple of years later I can remember thinking "what happened to four, five and six?" so I'm glad they decided to keep the numbers the same over here with the release of seven and beyond.
