Identify the Culprit!

Sure we all know from the cut scene in FFVII that Sephiroth removes Jenova's head and we can recall what it looks like for the most part. However, in the game, when "The Calamity from the sky" was mentioned as falling from above and landed on the planet, what physical form/appearance do you picture he/she having?

I sat for a while and tried to think of this, but of course my bias opinion from having played FFVII and seen Advent Children didn't help the matter. I guess if I try to put all of that info aside, I could try to imagine Jenova as a meteor in some way that rocked the planet's surface, and formed after impact. But was it in Human form? Was it in jelly-type liquid form? That's what I'm asking you. Get creative. :)
 
I belive it came to Earth as it is seen in the cutscenes. Its said that she rid to Earth on a meteor, after which she approched the Cetra in friendly forms but I reckon her real physical form is the one we're most used too.
 
well obviously it morphs and it has some intelligence even if it mostly through an instinct to destroy. hmm i reckon it could be kinda like the Camille character from the 4th season of Red Drawf ( I dont know if your familiar with the series or not. my brother is always watching it so yeah). anyway this character is quite advanced in a evoultionary scale and how it interacts with other being is by morphing its physical form into another form that is apeasing and that comes across benevolent towards the recievers. eg. Jenova greeted the Cetra as a woman. Where as its true form is hey maybe just angry energy with somesort of intelliegence, i guess. if you understand what i mean
