Help Icicle Ridge?

Hey guys.

There's a path in the north of the first area in the Icicle Ridge that leads somewhere but I can't for the life of me figure out how to get to it. I am miles past Icicle Ridge in the game now. It looks like it's an area lower than where I'm standing, but there's nothing else reasonable I can do to get there. Any ideas?

I can't find a map online but it's just to the right and north of the teleport door thing.

Yeah that's a story point on the game that will open up, it won't open up way late till you have to go for what's known as the "true ending" in the game so don't worry about.
