I didn't Like Trances

They really didn’t bother me all that much. Not really my favorite limit breaks of the series, but they where alright. Nothing really spectacular or amazing in my opinion, still fun though. ^_^

These things kinda got on my nerves for the short time I played. Couldn't really access them as quickly as you'd like....

The Trance system wasn't as great as the other series' limit breaks. Basically because I always have a trance character at the end of the battles.

Thus the ability High Tide, which lets you reach Trance faster.

People complain about Trances alot, and frankly i think it sucks to not be able to save a Trance after the battle (although in the story Trance is brought about by a surge of emotion, so it makes sense that you can only use it for one battle).

But really, if you level up sufficiently, they're not even needed so i dont see why they're such a big issue. The only Trances that remain useful are Zidane's, and even those are unnecessary if his Thievery skill is powered up.

Yea the Trance system ticked me off some. I didnt like that you were forced to use it when you really didnt wanna. There was one too many times I needed a Trance but didnt have it. Then I got it like two fights after.

I always ended up wasting a lot of my trances, such as they would always go into trance mode at the very end of the fight, so I barely ever got to use them. But besides Zidane's and Vivi's, I didn't find anyone elses very useful anyway.

Logically trance makes sense in the game, though it's a double-edged sword because of how it is explained, trance usually shows up at inconvenient times. Like after a boss battle, where it could have helped.

This is idea is actually kind of broken, because why would Zidane get a surge of emotion against from some minor enemy after coming off a lopsided boss battle?

i liked them but i didn't at the same time. I didn't like how you couldn't save them after a battle and i didn't like how you they costed MP. Some of the trances sucked IMO too like Amarant's Chakra trance. I did like Zidane's Dyne trance and Vivi's doublecast though

I hated traces as well. It was quite annoying, IMO. You got them at the most useless of times and half the time the people who had gotten them at the time have sucky trances! Ugh. lol.

Zidane has the best trances. That's it. =/.

The trance system is NOT cool. My characters usually entered trance at the end of some random battle. I managed to use trances in a boss battle only once....when you fight Ark in that anti-magic town....it was a one-hit-kill.:P

Yeah, I did sometimes end up getting Zidane's at the perfect moment. It was a classic win moment. But, meh, didn't happen often.

I always get trances at the most inappropriate times, usually towards the end of a battle, or with something that I know I can one hit kill. It's such a waste. I'd prefer more control over it but then..... The game is easy enough really. I finished Amarant off in like 2 hits. I successfuly stole from him first time, then I got trance and slapped him twice and he was dead......not really much of a challenge.......

some of them are just really shit for the other characters though. Nothing particularily special other than they go a different colour D:

Stupid randomness

Getting trances at the end of a battle or when fighting a weak enemy, did suck. I agree, having a bit more control over them would have been nice. Also zidanes grand lethal sucked. I was expecting some kind of multi-attack like FF7 and FF8 but nope. sad.

The trance system worked quite well I thought, loads better than VIII and about equal wih VII, and Zidane has the best limit break cause he's Special, get to disc 4.

Zidane is special but that just makes his trance that much more disappointing. I mean, at the end of the game all of zidanes trances do the same damage, 9999. It would have been nice to see zidane do a multi damage attack. I mean he has the ULTIMA WEAPON for gosh sakes.

Eye, however that is not the strongest weapon on the game, Excalibur II is, the chances off getting it are at about 0.001%, so that weapon should be far better than the shitty Ultimate Weapon. It doesn't even look that good, and it's status effect isn't that good, the weapon that dooms his targets is his best, or Amarants knuckles that KO the opponent, far better weapons than Zidane's best.

I feel the same about the trances, it is pointless when all of Zidanes deal the same damage. But maybe the makers were trying to distance themselves form the multihit sword special, omnislash, lionheart.

Didn't like this feature either. First of all, it takes way too long before you've reached the trance status, second, only zidane is capable of causing some mediocre damage. Nah, just gimme limit breaks or overdrives instead!

Trances were very annoying. They, the majority of the time, were there to activate at the most incoveniant times. Having to watch my Trance gauge, and make sure the enemy doesn't hit the character in question, was a chore.
