Colors could maybe be some orange, red, and yellow. Kinda like a sunset. But I'm cool with creativenessness. Go with instinct.

Size for the avatar, I'd like 120x120, and for the signature... well, I'm not sure. I guess who ever is taking up this challenge can decide.
