FFVIII- I saved at the start of the missile base, then went right through to the Thing where you have to find Cid, and got killed by a werewolf type thing. Oh I was annoyed- I hate the missile base
 
lol i have done this plenty of times in the more current rpg game.s but back in the day off the playstation 1, it was hard NOT to miss em. but that does suck tho, going through 40-50 mins of a game and then die. you have my sympathy.
 
FFIV, I didn't save for ages. I was trained up quite well so I thought I'd be ok but I fought the Queen of Summons (or something like that). Everyone ran out of MP and then died.
 
I ran past the save point to battle Seymour Flux :ffs: :ffs:

I broke the FFX CD, ending my FFX game for two weeks. I did not win. I had no idea Seymour would use Total Annihilation when he did. I was pissed, then I had to restart somewhere waaaay before that save point. I was not amused. I got really angry, as I lost a good amount of sphere grid movements for Tidus and Yuna :sad3:
 
Ugh, I went through that too. Damn me and my not-savingness.

That kind of relates to the first time I played FFV. I technically played FFT as my first FF game, so FFV was my first "official" FF game some odd 6-7 years ago.

Anyways, they very first battle against friggin' generic goblins, I just stupidly held my controller and just looked at the screen thinking nothing happens until I make the first move - in the mean time, Bartz got sliced up and died. I was like "wtf? D="
 
The stupidest thing I ever did on an FF game was name my clan on FF:TA something... quite inappropriate, to say the least. I never thought that anyone else would be playing the game and just found it as a source of amusement. I ended up beating all 300 missions and clocking several hundred hours on the game, never realizing that there was NO way to change your clan name later on. When I ended up loaning the game to one of my (preteen at the time) siblings, I had to delete the account. There was simply no way around it without getting in an assload of trouble from the family. Kinda depressing, but I was asking for it. :p
 
I don't know how, but went to the wrong island in FFII X,D Firstly I didn't know why those monsters were soo powerful, I died several times and when finally defeated the dungeon boss, I realised that I didn't get that item I should have got but another one. Then I checked the name of the island... I was in another island!!!D:
But I'm proud because I will have to come back later to this island in the game, but I was able to go through it with my little heroes! So it means my party is pretty strong. :D
