Are you guys kidding me? Is this supposed to be a joke or something 'cause I don't know? Do you realize how many people have cheated in the RPG so far? I guess you don't, lost count or whatever but all thanks to that little bastard DarkSquall. He was the one who ruined the RPG to everyone by donation hell a lot of Gil to everyone out there. If you really wanna have some fun, then play the RPG and earn some Gil using the hard way. Donating like one billion to a player will be no fun to that person at all, believe me. So I'm all for the RPG reset but we promise you that it'll be the best game we ever had! Lot's of stuff will be included in the new game once we're running on the Gold version and not to mention the clans/guilds system, y'know.

My idea here is to reset the RPG once the Gold release is finally out. In my opinion, that would be a really good idea and to all the players out there but I don't know about you. Everything will be changed in the RPG eventually and will probably be even better than before.

Ohh geez, that "DS Problem", well I guess we could reset the game and try to make the first area really interesting.

Like giving the players to choose between the "Good Side" and the "Bad Side", and to avoid excesive gil donations, we could make the monsters to give less Gil and make them drop more items instead, items who would be used later on to sell them for gil.

Of course, we could make those items quite hard to obtain, like 65% Drop Percentage.

If you remember well DB, It's quite hard to get gil in FFXII ;)

Oh jesus, don't be like khinsiders and only get gil by selling items. Its lame and kinda annoying. I think the system we have set up for the gil is pretty decent at the moment. But the idea about only getting one chance to get a summon doesn't really attract me. What if its one of my favorites and I die or something? XD

Well we could allow players to return to the same "Chamber of X summon" to get their old pet again. So if you changed, but suddenly you want your old summon again, we could allow them to get it again.

What say you?

On a side note:

If you want summons and if we decide to allow their use, which summons would you like to see?
Old Guardian Forces from FFVIII?
Aeons?
Espers?
Other FF summons?

That would be a great idea.
And I think we should use the Espers from FFXII. I can provide all the images :D

I have some pics that Neo Amon gave me a long time ago, but if you you have great FF Summons pics that could be used for the pets, send them.

Since we are opened to new ideas, I would like to listen to the suggestions of every single player (or at least some of them). If any is interested, I would really appreciate if you could explain your idea and add some info to it (all members)

Example of one of the pics I have for the pets, this one is a cool one of Zodiark

As for resetting the RPG Inferno, I'm for it. I say it has a lot of flaws now, though I would really hate to see my Summon to dissappear because I've grown very attached to it. I'm not to high leveled, 'cause I'm slow, but I've worked to try and make a balanced character without moving points around. I hope there would be some way to save your stats or get your summon back.

1.I'm very much pro STL's idea of the summons, doing a side-quest to get them. I'd have to say Aeons from X, or the Guardian Forces from VIII if I had to choose. Or why not the player gets to choose what game he/she wants to try like?
2.Keep the components. I like customizing my armor and giving them names.
3.Maybe a smoother level transition from place to place. At some of the places there was a sharper level up of monsters, so I had to stay behind awhile and fight to be able to survive.
4.I love the idea of hero and baddie sides, being able to choose to help or destroy.
ADDED:
5.Also like the idea of the warp points, and unlocking them by quests to get around. Or maybe just unlocking roads/traveling by doing a quest.

Nice ideas you got there, Leki. Also, we might be able to add different types of transportation such as cars, trains, airships, etc. and not just by walking, you know.

Yes, we could create Trigger NPCs that could move the player from area to area by using a certain item, like those Warp Crystals from FFXII.

Say, we make the areas invisible (except for towns), then have a Warp Crystal NPC at key points through the RPG. Then make a Warp Crystal Item, that would trigger the NPC and let the players go to that area by using that NPC.

Of course, the NPC will remove one of your crystals from your inventory as a cost, for that we use the "Take X Item" trigger.

Let's say I am in Cadoen, and I notice the NPC named "Cadoen Warp Crystal", you add number of possibe triggers like and required conditions like this:

Player has X Item----> Chat Log 2, list of locations:
To see one of these locations, the player must meet the required condition:

Example 1

Travel to Roda Volcano---> Condition : Player has visited Roda Volcano. By clicking on this option, you'll use a Crystal and the NPC will let you travel to Roda Volcano again, even though you already visited that place, you'll just use that NPC as a shortcut to save up some time.

Example 2

Travel to Elf Village: Required Condition--> Player has visited Elf Village.
This one is much like example one, it takes the same process in order to use the Warp Crystal in order to travel to that location using the Warp Crystal.

In order to see those chat logs, players will have to meet those conditions, it will take some time to complete that Warp Crystal NPC, but I think we can make it.

So, what say you?
Do you like this idea?

Yea, I really like the idea of a new game. I don't want to lose me character but if I have to for the new game then I will. Also I think that the game should not be reset until the gold version is ready to be realeased. I don't want to have to wait 4 months just because you reset the RPG too early.

Question: I feel stupid for asking, but what exactly is the 'Gold' version?

And for STL's idea...
I'm not to sure. Maybe we could open up roads/areas by doing a side-quest or continuing with the story, and the crystals could be used to travel to an area not right beside you. Like transporting to an area across the map or something like that.

And how would we get these 'crystals'? How rare would they be? I'd hate to not be able to travel around just 'cause I can't get my hands on some dang crystal. Characters do have perfectly good feet to walk.

That would be an optional way to travel, and you will be able to buy Crystals at Item Shops.

Of course we could change that and use the travel systems instead, much like Adamant suggested, and leave those "warp" travel systems at key locations.

And Gold is the next version of the RPG that will be released soon ^_^

It won't be released soon, considering that silver or bronze will probably proceed it. Anyways, these are nice ideas, but many of them are technically infeasible- honestly, do you really think that if we could warp players around, that we wouldn't have done it already? Plus, considering that we cannot permanently remove NPC's, this "good storyline"/"bad storyline" stuff doesn't make much sense- why in the world would an evil character bother to talk with all of the locals instead of just chopping off their heads?

A note to people voting. If you are voting for option 2, you are selecting Adamant's proposed ideas. If you like the ideas mentioned in the replies to this thread, you should vote for option 4. I do not care. I am open to new ideas.

I just wanted to clear that up. :)

Thanks for the answer, by the way. ^_^

I voted number 2, but I'm leaning towards most of STL's ideas and most new ideas now. I just don't want to see components and Summons taken away. I wouldn't mind if the NPCs had better conversations. I remember some were plain silly and some didn't really help. The option of choosing answers might make it a bit more difficult if you only get one chance.

Totally different subject but I think their should be a thread to decide which summons players would like to use.

It really doesn't matter what summons you're using... they all have the same stat setups in the long run. I'm praying that in the next version, players can just customize their pet's picture, so we don't have to worry about little things like their names and pictures, and players can be in charge of customization.

Components have a serious problem in that we can never give them modifiers. It would help a LOT if we could standardize weapon stats in areas other than STR and DEF- wouldn't it be cool if, say, all shields raised EVA and all swords raised DEX? I mean, it would seem a lot more realistic to me. If we tried that in this game, it would give those items a massive advantage.

Don't forget about the weapon pics, that's important too:P

Well yes, I remember that, when I equiped a different sword on FFXII, even though it had a higher str, it lowered my speed, it makes sense if you analize why.

Two handed sword, EVA reduced because you can't use shield, therefore it's harder to block incoming attacks.

Spear, DEX increased because it will be easier to hit flying enemies with such a long weapon (like flying enemies  ).

actually, there is a way to get a npc to give the player a summon, I have seen it done on another forum. I just will have to ask the site owner how he did it.

It would be the "give item" trigger. If you do add trigger and select that option, summon is on the list.
