Basically, how much are you willing to help...

...people new to things, like in the forums.
...people who are in need?
...your world?

Personally, I'm willing to lend a helping hand to everybody, as long as they're not trying to swindle me or something in the process. :|
It also needs to be for a good cause, but I'll do it anyways if it seems respectable enough.

As for the forums...lol...I'm sure I speak for us all...I mean...how many noob threads have you seen that say "why i don hav RpGee yet?"
I'm willing to help forum goers with anything as long as it isn't something that's blatantly obvious.

As for helping others IRL...
I'll help someone, but only if they're willing to help themselves first. And I'll never help someone who has screwed me over in the past.

My world?
As in earth?
I recycle water bottles; that's it. =\

if i am to gain in some way i will help
I think that brings up a good point: Is anything really altruistic?

My mother works with specially educated children & I've had the pleasure of working an entire Summer with her. I absolutely loved it. :) I wouldn't consider myself the most patient person in the world, but for some reason when it comes to things like that I have a world of patience.

I think it probably stems from the fact that people like that cannot help how they are. I think my frustration comes from people who are perfectly normal yet completely waste the blessing of having a "perfect" mind.

No, at least not absolutely.
We're always in it for something for ourselves, no matter what we make it out to be, or however much we try to hide it. Unfortunately. =(

That's because it's worth doing. :D
I feel the same way, but I guess there is something in us that makes us feel the way we do with these kinds of things.
Quite cool and fuzzy. ^_^

Yeah, I agree. But then again, we always yearn.

im a genuinly nice person i lik to help but people shouldn't get on me bad side cos i dont get enuf sleep so im cranky

I try to help people help themselves... I have to resort to being dramatic like "Let me... help YOU" lol

but really, I like helping people out. Like if I fiinish work late and someone like a workmate needs to take a bus, but I know Im kinda going on the way to there place, I offer them a ride. Although there were timess when I pretended I was on the way to some place so that I had the excuse to give them a lift if you know what I mean. But I like helping people out. I try to put myself in their shoes

Nice, Clyde.
I would do the same thing, given I have a car. :|

I do help people do their homework though, not necessarily my friends, but you get the point. I try to help as much as I can, and especially if someone calls me to do so.

I’m usually a very patient person when it comes to helping someone, especially if their genuinely trying to learn or their doing the best they can. Either way, as long as someone is as stated above, I'd willingly provide as much help as they needed.

When it comes to my friends i'll do anything to help if one of them has a problem. It doesn't matter what the problem is or how serious. Even if the problem looks unsolvable i'll still try to help. The other day a good friend had a really serious problem that i unfortunately wasn't able to help with and it made me feel really bad. Can't win em all though i guess =[

Newbie? Sure, I'll help them. I was once a newbie myself and I felt so lost here at first. =/

If it's real life problems that someone's experiencing, friend or not...I'll still help, of course. I'm usually good at listening to people's rants. Used to it.
