Topic Question- How much has Final Fantasy changed your life since you have started playing the series..?

Usually something simple as a Video Game series can change your life for the better or the worst, it could lead you into new friends or many a new hobby or a horrible memory..

So since playing the Final Fantasy series has your life changed ? And if yes, in what way ?
Maybe the Final Fantasy series hasn't changed your life at all- and everything is the same and basically as normal as it was when you first put in that first Final Fantasy disc in your PlayStation..

When playing Final Fantasy VII it kind of made everything worst at first and became a School misfit and got picked on/ teased for liking something "nerdy" ... but then Final Fantasy lead to Chrono Trigger on the Super Nintendo- And Chrono Trigger lead to Chrono Crusade the Japanese anime programme... and anime lead to the Friends that I have now and really wouldn't change the world..

So has Final Fantasy changed your life too.. ?

Explain/ Share your Story/ Stories !

Yeah I kind of got called a geek/nerd whatever when I was in highschool because they knew that me and the girl I hung around were fully into anime and video-gaming etc.

Though really, aside from the constant getting picked on, I didn't want to change and just stop doing what I loved for someone else. They would still tease me anyway for something else, so I thought that I may as well have something to go home to at the end of the day that made me happy. =)

I was condemned to be a nerd long before I ever really got into FF, so it didn't do too much there. :wacky:

Never really got picked on though. Throughout Elementary school I had a habit of being best friends with the popular kids. And I went to a highschool with just short of 4000 kids, so with that many people there, there was really a place for anyone. So there was nothing to worry about there, and it was actually surprising seeing which kids crossed which social groups.

It change my life for the better

Has it changed my life? YES. I remember my life before FF, it was super mario brothers and other useless NES games. When I first saw the FF7 preview I knew that I would love the game.

I got it and a PS1 on Xmas day. It was so fun first playing. I got lost on Corel (sp? IDK Barrets home town). I was running around the gold saucer outside and I could see the tiny bronco I just didn't know how to get to it.

I got a friend that played the game and I had him check out my save file. I told him I've been lost for weeks and he ran right to where I needed to be. At the cave entrance to Mt Corel. I ended up playing the game to this day.

Now what I noticed about me is I got sssoooo many people in my life to play Final Fantasy games. My best friend, My sister, her ex boy friend, A normal friend, and also other people who knew I was a fan of Final Fantasy that picked the games up and came to me years later and said they liked them.

Another thing is I use to be a Zack wanna-be. I spiked my hair up and did the Cloud/Zack stances all the time. My sister once caught me doing OmniSlash with a broom.

Now I got thousands of hours in those games. No other RPG is equal. Sure I got other games I play but none compare to Final Fantasy. I even got a 200 page story I'm writing about that is my own personal Final Fantasy.

So yeah it took me from geek to cool to back to geek again. I love the games.

It didn't change much. It only turned me into a big fan of the series, but that's all.
A game which really changed something was Sudeki which was the first 3D RPG game I have ever played.
After playing it, I realized I totally love RPG games and after that played FFXII (which is my first FF).
And since then tryin to complete all FFs and playing other RPGs (Valkyria Chronicles, Enchanted Arms etc etc)

As about social aspect. I never really was the "social" type anyway and always prefered Games (and since two years ago Manga/Anime) over friends.
So it didn't really change much.

Socially it's done nothing to me, I'm generally a versatile gamer and pretty much everyone in our college owns some sort of console, and I generally own the games like FIFA or CoD which are the ones talked about anyway :wacky: The only think Final Fantasy did really was get me into RPG's which I'm grateful for as it's clearly one of the best game genres...below Sports of course. :ryan:
