How do we know if Lulu and Wakka got married.

Did it happen after Yuna gives her good speech about Spira? how do we like know this? Well at the beggining of X-2 Lulu says she has a baby but the gulwings already know. We know there was alot of romance between Wakka and Lulu but how exactly did they get married?
 
The same way everyone else gets married...? I'm not even sure it's mentioned, I honestly can't remember, I either assumed they were, or it said they were, which pretty much means they got married between the events of X and X-2.... not really much I can add to that >_>
 
I may come back and answer with a more full post later but I'm pretty sure they come right out and say it. There are several years between the two games so they certainly had time to settle down, get married, and have a child. Nothing was rushed. They didn't cover it in detail but that was never really the focus of FFX-2.
 
I thought there was only two years between the two games? One or two, I think Rikku's 17 in this one, and since she was 15 in FFX...

But anyway, they might not be married - they might just have had a baby together, they don't need to be married to do that. Vidina is proof that they love each other and all that, they didn't need to announce that they were married or anything.
 
Yea, I went back and checked. You're right. It is only two years. I also watched Eternal Calm, that prelude video to Final Fantasy X-2. I haven't seen that in years.
 
Yeah, going with Mark maybe they didn't get married.
But if they did, it'd had to happen between FFX and X-2. I don't remember a Wakka and Lulu wedding, in FFX or X-2. <__<
 
So like what exactly happened. How was there true love between Wakka and Lulu. Was it when they became guardians? So it is not mentioned in any of the games. So how do we know?
 
Since the game isn't really based on Wakka and Lulu or their love story, we can only assume. I'm pretty sure they did get married, but that would be after the events of FFX. We know there were hidden feelings between the two, neither just actually came out and said it. Lulu is having his baby after all in X-2 (as she's pregnant throughout the game), so the creators just leave the players to guess and speculate. We'll probably never know if they got married or not, unless the creators just outright say it.
 
Married? Not too sure about that. I'm also nt that sure if Spira during their time is tat open or not for having a baby without being married. So being traditional I'll say that Lulu and Wakka probably got married during somewhere after X and before X-2. It's very open for interpretation though.
 
You see it progress during FFX if you pay close enough attention. In the beginning of the game up until the Farplane in FFX, Lulu is stil strung up on Chappu, but in the Farplane she makes it known she is moving on and putting her past behind her.

Little by little you see Lulu's feelings for Wakka start to shape more into a romantic/affectionate feeling even though she refuses to admit it. There's no doubt that in the time between FFX and X-2, they got hitched. I truly sense that Lulu loves Wakka and you see it as early as her concern for him during the Luca Blitzball tournament when he's almost knocked out.

So Sosuke Aizen, here's what went down. Wakka and Lulu exchanged wedding rings in-between the 2 games, had a little naked wrestling match in the bedroom, or in the back of the BMW, or in the laundry room, and 9 months later, Vidina is born. A little boom-boom with the bride's maid.
 
Ahahaha, I always love reading your posts, Busta. :P Anyway, the reason I'm posting this is because in Shinra's Dossier (I think that's what it's called. It's his guide of characters in the game) in FFX-2 if you go to Lulu and choose her to read about it, it tells how she was a guardian on Yuna's pilgrimage, a black mage and now she lives peacefully in Besaid with her husband, Wakka. So I think the game's confirmed that the two are married definitely.
 
Hmm... I'm with alot of people there really isn't anything actually stating when they got married or anything, i believe we all just assume it because it fits. I haven't played through the game in a year or so, so if they did mention it i have completely forgotten. As said by many of the people there love affairs wasn't really a big impact the game hit, so as a result where left with many questions unanswered, but the brightside is is wide open for fanfics to grasp onto and give us there imaginative side to it :).
 
Errr....*points to my previous that was made less than an hour ago* I just stated that I'm currently playing X-2 and in Shinra's Dossiers it states under Lulu's character dossier that she lives in Besaid with her husband, Wakka. So to answer the original poster's question, yes. They ARE married.

I will add this though to the whole marriage thing. Because Spira in general has mostly a collection of small villages, marriage might not be the ceremony we've come to expect in our world (or as represented in Bevelle).

For some of these smaller villages, marriage might not really include any ceremony or celebration. They might just be able to live together and call themselves "wed". I'm not saying they aren't married. I think they are, not just because of your post LA but because it's what I want to believe.

But if there are people out there thinking that it can't be so because we never saw a huge celebration, wedding photos, or anything of the like... it might not happen like that with such small tropic townships like they have.
