The only good Disney original movie in my opinion and it stands out from every high school movie that I've seen. You usually see boy and girl fall head over heels for each other in these movies.

They almost did kiss in that movie, but were interrupted. What a way to spoil the moment! The songs were fantastic! I love this movie so much!

But it can be irritating to have their songs in your head and not on my mp3 player. Did anyone else like this movie? I know it's been out in America forever, but it was only just premiered on the Disney Channel in the UK on Friday. Anyone else like it?

My girlfriend's little sister suggested that we watch it. I promptly broke up with her.

OMG, surprisingly enogh, I loved that movie! alot of people in my high school watched it, when I thought absolutly NO one watched disney channel anymore. I guess I was wrong. But yeah, I thought it was a good movie next to Wendy Wu: Homecoming warrior. The deepest disney movie I've seen yet.

I'm sorry, but I utterly hated this movie. What bothered me about this movie wasn't the horrible acting of it's lead. It was how the movie even contradicted itself. A good example of this is when Troy's basketball team makes a huge deal about him singing and they burst into song.

I would've liked it better if the leading actor would've actually sung all of his parts.

Zac Efron's (Troy) singing voice was blended with that of composer Andrew Seeley, who was also considered for the role. Seeley sang the entirety of "Get'cha Head in the Game", as well as composing it. Efron only sings truly during the scene on the balcony and during part of "Breaking Free". The reason for this is because Zac Efron's natural voice is a baritone, and the producers preferred that of a tenor to match the role.

It might not have been the best movie I've seen, but I've seen crappier ones.

Musicals make me laugh, cause all of a sudden, you're just talking and then you burst out in song, about mops or some weird topic.

Imagine if it happened in school, college or even work. That's just ... weird! Funny, too!

I noticed that, too.

"Troy, don't sing! It will ruin our chances of winning!"
"What's that?"
"Getcha head in the game, I said getcha getcha getcha getcha head in the game"

Hypocrites.

I liked Breaking Free and What I've Been Looking For (Lucas Grabeel and Ashley Tisdale) but everything else was ridiculous.

This movie was so gay but at the same time I loved the hell out of it. I couldn't help but sing along to every song on there. My favorite one was probably "Breaking Free".

I admit that it is rather idiotic that they were sing about how much they hated Troy's singing but I guess that's what you get from a musical.

I really hated Ashley Tisdales's voice. Her voice when she sings just annoys the hell out of me.

Seems that you completly are opposite point of this movie
Why do you think that its a gay one ?

Singing and dancing. I just think it's weird when a movie has singing and dancing for no reason. No one in real life just bursts out into song all the sudden. LAWL xD

If they did, that would just be scary.

So you have to watch some Indian movies ( HINDI )
They dance and sing all the time
Also their clothes changes moment by moment

i was bored and it was on tv and i havnt seen it yet so i decided to watch it. and i had enjoyed it. i love music so it was like listening to a cd somewhat and that was quite enjoyable. :) i give it my approval

Does anyone else think it's vastly overrated? I mean, here in Britain, they STILL show it every week, because we all love it so much, apparently. The cast are partaking in the Disney Channel games, the soundtrack is being advertised here and there, everywhere, music videos are on all the breaks. There's no escaping it, unless you flick over channels. But then, why should I miss my House of Mouse?! :P
