Henne Mines First Time In

Hey guys, i just got to Henne Mines, where we discover the scientists all dead and beaten up...

I put one foot thru that door and die at the bat ambush....
my Levels are 20-19-19-16-15-15-20(larsa)

How can you survive a beating like that?

I can't remember what my levels were back when I first went to the Henne Mines, but I remember using Belias to kill all of the bats and constantly healing my summoner to keep her alive.

Yeah? the only problem is that the bats just attack the summoner...
Vaan is Belias summoner... hes at level 20 now... just he has bad armor...
so im leveling him up to 30.... along with Basch, and belthier...
Fran is at 16, ashe 15, penelo 15, Larsa 20.

Now that Maze is hectic... the bats just keep coming...
and they attack vaan only, and thye jit 150-250hp at the time...
so, im not sure...

well i think i did it around 27ish easy, so leaving up a bit would be good. To get better armour trying to steal from every single monster you attack, i find that a great way to save up money. If one healer is not enougth maybe try having a pal who can attack and heal at the same time

i was around lv 19-20 as well and it was pretty easy until i got to the tiamat
I reccomend not using summons and pure attacking
oh and make sure you cast protect and haste often to protect your self

I already beated that area 1) Get Blood Sword for Vaan. 2) Get some strong equipment for the rest of your team, 3) Use your Esper, it helps a lot, 4) Have you seen the Tyrnanorox? 5) Try to get cura to heal your characters with one spell. 6) Did you got the some limits for Vaan, Ashe or even Basch? You can get other's though....7) The Boss at the end of the Cave is not hard, but it's annoying.....

Where do I get the blood sword?
I dont have cura, i think basch has the license for it.
I got 2 quickenings One for Vaan, one for Ashe.

You get the Blood Sword if you buy it at the shop in "jahra" (the one in which you speak with the Elder). Good with the quickenings of Ashe and Vaan, but save them for the Boss battle (that or try to get lots of Ethers)

Well, I only have 300GIL.
Im not sure its enough fo a blood sword!

Try running into the first batch of enemies, and then try escaping a bit, to draw some of the bats out of the pile so you can fight a few of them instead of all at once. This way only some will follow your lead and you can deal with them individually instead of in a massive orgy.

300gil?I reccomend going back to Lhusu mines and killing only the skelletons for bones and dark crystals to sell,do that 4 times and you'll have 100000gil.Upgrade your armor and buy Basch(Should have best strength on the team)a hammer.
