help stuck on the shiva sisters on final fantasy 13 the eidlons part of the game

hi im stuck on the shiva sisters in final fantasy 13 u fight as snow only i have frostbite and freeze and my normal attacks it says u have to fill this gauge bar then press square to claim victory but they keep defeating me any help given here is greatful thx.
 
I was stuck on this part for AGES :andry:

alternate between the attacking and defending paradigm or however the fuck you spell it, defend while sh is attacking you and attack while she is doing that ATB charge thing. Even when I got that sussed, it still took me a few fucking attempts to get the bitch
 
I had a bit of trouble with this too.
:rage: I forgot to press R1 after Libra.

Just switch to sentinel and just keep using the steelguard. Time it so you do it just before she attacks you and therefore you block the attacks.
 
Only failed at it once.

The information Libra gives you is the following:

Yields to those who can amass chain-combos.
Yields to those who can defend themselves.
Is not vulnerable to taunt.

(or something to that effect)

So basically.... you have to Paradigm dance.

When it's not charging it's gauge, go Ravager and use the chain-combo.

When it says it's charging it's ATB gauge, switch to Sentinel, wait until it's done charging it's gauge, and use your defensive abilities then so you get the full effect of filling up it's gauge by lasting the duration of it's combo.

Don't forget to press X (or probably Square if you're playing PS3) to obtain the Eidolon.
 
Immediately switch to Sentinel Paradigm. Nix will attack, and Stiria will heal Snow at regular intervals. Use auto-cover and Snow will initally use Provoke on the aggressive Nix. She is actually immune to this ability, but what follows is the key to completing the challenge: the Steelguard skill. This staple component of the Sentinel's repertoire enables its user to endure mininmal HP loss.

All you need do is engage Steelguard just before Nix attacks. If its effects are active as she unleashes each assault, the Getstalt gauge will steadily fill. To ensure that all goes according to plan, use Triangle/Y and Circle/N as required to rush or cancel Steelguard. Once the getstalt mode gauge is sufficently filled, press Square/X to end the confrontation
 
The person above has baiscally got it nailed down i couldn't explain it any better. You dont need to worry about Hp too Cause one of the sisters heal you. as said above to get the Gestlat bar up faster just use Sentinel and preferbly Commando thats how i do it XD.
 
you don't have to attack at all. Just defend right before she throws the wheel, this charges the gestault bar. when the gestalt bar is full hit the square button.
 
Use crystogen points to upgrade Snows sentinel attributes before entering the battle, after doing so, all you must do is whenever you see the shiva sisters charging, set Snow to shell which is practically just auto defend. you can close your eyes while doing this and only need to open them to see when you can press that button of yours to take in the Shivas.
