Help HELP! stuck in the forgotton capital!

i got to the big CONC shell in the forgotton capital but i cant get to the upper exit outside the conch shell. my stratagy guide says to climb the stairs and walk artound the outside of the shell but i cant find a way outside of it. and how do i get the mp materia?
 
Which CD is this? the first or second?
If first then you have to sleep in the beds, otherwise if it is CD 2 then you have to walk round everything so you get to the back (hard to explain when I have put the Lets Play on the shelf until the new PC version has come out)

I am kind of a living guide to Chrono Trigger and FF7 ;P
 
I know what you're referring to... after Aeris You know], you follow Sephiroth north. On the way, you run into a spiral conch and when you first approach it, Cloud hops up the spines about 7 times. After that, just keep trying to run up and around. It's actually pretty easy, you'll facepalm when you've done it right lol.
 
HELP im still stuck i cant get up the darn shell... im on cd 1 and slept in the beds already and thet clip didnt help me it was the wrong shell.

i was wondering if i watch and if i love,like or if i enjoy watching let's plays and of course if that player is one of my favorite LPers is it cheating in gaming,games and video games if i watch let's plays of certain games and any games?

Let's Plays are for the entertainment factor as much as for a walkthrough, so it's not cheating at all. Hell, a normal walkthrough isn't cheating either. Just watch the damn lp if you enjoy them :p
 
I run around the whole thing and it doesnt help. is there a video i can watch to show me how to do it exactly? i guess im kinda dumb

The video he posted doesn't answer his question, as that's not the conch he was referring to.

He's actually referring to AFTER
*Aeris dies*
and Sephiroth summons Cloud to follow him north past the snowy fields. As you head north, you run into a big spiral conch that you must climb up, around, and halfway back down. First you run towards the bottom and Cloud leaps about 7 times in it's spines, then you run up and around, get on the outside, then spiral back down halfway to get to the ledge.
