after getting out of the desert prison and before racing the chocobo's, the game just suddenly corrupts...:dry:

anybody have the same or any advice, please post here.
 
either get a new disc or maybe try taking the disc out and putting it back in
or if disc is dirty then clean it ^_^
 
as he said, moments before it gets stuck, pause the game if in battle, or enter the menu if not, and open the tray. If you have a cd cleaner, then clean it gently, wait for it to dry and then replace and close the tray, if you do not have a cd cleaner, then (disclaimer: this may not work) brush the disk against a clean shirt in one direction a few times, then replace the cd.
 
Something similar happened to me too (different location though)...and even though I cleaned the disc thoroughly, it still froze on the same spot even after restarting. So I took out the current disc and replaced it with a second disc. >.< And well, it worked for me. The game unfroze and continued. (After awhile I changed the disc back again.)

But I don't recommend that you try this method. If you're really desperate and feel like it's the last resort, then you can try to do it this way if you want.
 
hmmm it happens alot with my games
so i just punch my ps2 and it works (not recommended)
or i put the disc under a tap and dry it and put it back in and it sometimes work
its probably just scratched though ^_^
 
I've never had this problem occur to me when playing any of my FF games, but unfortunately, it hits the best of us. It is most likely a disc problem that you are dealing with. Good luck cleaning it or replacing it. :/
