Help a Hippie out

...And that is really sad. =( I love dogs, and it really pisses me off that those people are so damn cruel...

Not usually one to care about these things, but I gotta say, that's pretty terrible. Ugh, if you're gonna kill dogs at least give then euthanasia and make it quick and painless. Sounds like they're killing the dogs more for fun than anything else. I signed it.
 
Bah. Just like that Michael Vick dog fighting case that happened recently. They found all kinds of torture paraphernalia in his house: cages, drugging needles, whips, nooses...This kind of thing doesn't just happen in foreign countries.

And as sincere as that website's cause sounds, it's not smart to put your personal information anywhere on the internet. If you want to help these dogs, then travel to Chernihiv and risk your life protesting there.

The sad fact is that a lot of foreign countries like this don't have constitutions like we do; they don't have rules and precautions to protect their own people, let alone dogs.

There's nothing you can do in a foreign abuse situation except to make noise, piss people off, and possibly get yourself killed in the process. Writing your name on some website does nothing but provide a large quantity of strange individuals with your personal information, which in turn does nothing but put you at risk.
 
You bring up a good point. That's why I tend to sign myself as South Park characters on websites xD

And I wonder if petitions like these will even make it to the proper people, but hey, no harm in doing it anyway.
 
No harm in doing it, but...to be realistic about it, writing a bunch of statements on a random website about how you think Mr. Mayor is mean, isn't likely to give this person a life changing experience. Even if the "mayor" (do they even have "mayors" in the Ukraine?) does decide one day that he thinks animal abuse is wrong, that's not going to change the life-long customs of these people.
And the odds of a foreign politician reading an English hate-site...not likely.
 
Still... One can at least TRY. Maybe if it gets big enough, some one could notice... Or alert proper people. You never know...

Quite true Rhea, and I wonder how they'll even see the petition. But I need something to do while I load episodes of the old Mega Man show on youtube, so Eric Cartman will tell them being cruel to dogs isn't nice.
 
Well, maybe this one petition won't work. But the news will spread. 5000 people 100 people, those 100 people tell another 100 people, and that is a hell of a lot of people knowing about it, and those some million people might do something
 
I do care for animals, but it seems like no matter how many of these things I sign, nothing seems to get done. I sign loads of these things for different things and zippo.
 
Sadly it's true that signing petitions doesn't seem to do any good in this age. The days when those in power actually cared about the voice of the people is long gone. If it ever even existed in the first place.
 
Signed it. Well even if it doesn't work people gotta try, they can't just give up.
