to be really honest ive never played a ff game but i will and that is a defenate promise. what is the best ff game you can get i might buy one i dunno it depends but any way see ya soon dudes an duettes lol

I'd say that 12,9 and 7 are the best, but then again, that's a personal opinion.

8 - for people who like romance. It's more war and romance based than anything.
10 - for people who like romance and tragedy. The graphics are really nice.

I can't help you much, try going on youtube and look at trailers for each game, that will probably help you more. The battle system that 12 has, though, is the best of any game, so that's already a plus I've named...


That's about all I can do. Go watch trailers. ;O
 
IV, VI, and VII are my top three favorites. IX is also fun too. VII is probably the best to get you started with the series.
 
12 was kinda a dissapointment. i would recommend 7 or 9, if u have a DS i would get the remake of 3 for it and even 1&2 DoS (gba but can play on DS)
 
I'd say go for 9 or 10 to start it off since those were the first 2 that I played as my introduction into the FF franchise. Both are great intro games and will definitely lead you into curiousity of the rest of the series.
 
I 2nd the FFIII nomination. If you have a DS, buy FFIII, cause it would be a good starter FF for someone's who's never played one.

After that, I'd go for IV, VII, IX & XII
