Okay, we shall discuss the Armour within this game.

I loved the variety of armour we got to choose from. I know alot of people equip their characters with heavy armour which increased attack, but I actually put mine out for each certain character.

Like for my mage I gave him Magick armour to increase magick and magick defense and things of the like.

I gave Basch Heavy Armour to Increase his attack, I gave Fran light armour...can't remember why...and i gave Ashe and Penelo Magick armour.

it worked amazingly - i checked my first file where i've completed the game and i had no idea what to do - my Ashe there is level 50 with a magick level of 40 yet the ashe on my second file with Magick armour is level 41 with a magick level of 54

Lol. Well, Light Armour increases speed and gives your tremendous health. =). I used it on my bow/gun people.

I monotonously worked with physical attackers throughout the game, so naturally I equipped heavy armour. There'd be the odd piece which I'd experiment with, but I was quite un-adventurous with the armour.


If it protected well, I equipped it.

Haha, Saix. I did the same on my first play through. It was something I just thought was better.

As for the second time I played through it, I kinda started experimenting.

I equipped heavy and light armour throughout the game. I never used mystic since the defence was too low. When i got the circlet i started using that with a masamune and the attack power went right up.

I usually just scrolled indiscriminately through the armor selection and equipped whatever gave me the best possible defense. In all honesty, I wasn’t too concerned with speed, only strength and defense.

I used heavy armor on Ashe and Basch, light armor on Fran, Balthier, and Vaan, and mystic armor on Penelo, since you know, she was my mage.

I didn't really care much about armor, but I was forced to equip light armor on Balthier because I had him equipped with a gun and I wanted to increase his speed and HP. xD
Other than that, not much else into consideration when it came to stats.
