I didn't see a thread for this, so I thought I would create one. Anyone have it, and what do you think of it? I got it a couple months ago and it's a very good game.

I'm sure most already know that the game revolves around the fiery-redhead Nariko, wielder of the Heavenly Sword as she strives to save her people from the evil king, acted and voiced by Andy Serkis.

The gameplay is fast and fun when you get the Sword as you can switch between three battle stances. The Sixaxis is fun to use when you throw weapons, or shoot arrows when you play Twing Twang with Kai. Kai is very cute and funny during her portion of the game.

The voice acting and the facial animations are very good, the best I've seen in any console game. In-between chapters Nariko is by herself and she talks, and most of the time directly towards you. I could not but help feel awkward during these scenes, as I thought she was really talking to me. I think the game does a great job of getting to feel for the characters, or at least some of them. There's one scene involving Kai where you almost have the same reaction as Nariko does.

Great, great game. :)

I plan on buying this game with my christmas money, so expect a more indepth review soon. But, I'm slightly worried...apparently the games lifespan isn't that long, and it was voted one of the "biggest dissapointments of the year" by gamesmaster magazine =/

It does look fun though, and the graphics are just amazing :D

It's about 6-8 hours long, which I would think is pretty average for an action game of this type. I think God of War, the first one, was about the same length.

The game does have unlockables, movies and artwork. You got 2 episodes of the Anime which are about 2-3 minutes long. Then you got about 5 "Making Of.." videos and those range between 3 and 5 minutes I think.

The game is definitely fun though. My favorite parts were with Kai who uses a bow-gun. Fire a bolt and you can control it (hold down the fire button when you shoot) with the controller all the way to the enemy.

The game is definitely worthy of a play through.

It's a short game, but the FMV's and story make up for it. It's like actually watching and playing in a CGI movie.

They move, talk and act like real people/monsters. The voice acting is so superb, it's probably the best game on the PS3. It uses most of PS3's capabilites and it really is just impressive, the only thing I dislike about it si that you are forced to play as someone that takes quite a whileto get use to, i.e. for me. As Kai with the bow, I found is quite hard to control.

It looks superb, from what I've seen. The reviews of it have been quite negative, however. I don't usually listen to reviewers but I am with PS3 games, as they cost a fair bit more than the PS2 games I usually buy. I might grab this, though, when I buy a PS3 next month.

I love this game! I was meant to get it for my birthday in 2 weeks, but managed to persuade my mum to give me it early! :D
But yeah the graphics are actually amazing, the scenery is soo detailed. The arrow game is addictive :| I've gotten a few people who don't have the game asking to play Twing Twang when they come over hah!
The only thing I don't like is how you can only move the camera so far but EVERYTHING else makes up for it!
If you don't have it buy it!!

I have no plans of ever buying this game. It looks like a generic God of War to me. Like someone above said, most the reviews I've read have described the game as merely being "okay" to "decent." If I'm spending $60 on a videogame, I want a little more...especially if the content allows for only 6 hours of gameplay.

I normally don't judge games based on the impressions of other people. I normally don't judge games based on their lengths...but I'm too skeptical to buy the game.

I have this game and I love it, though it may appear easy to some at first, I assure you, when you unlock hell mode it will become a fight for survival at the best of times.

My favourite element is definately twing twang, and the aftertouch feature is good as well. The sword abilities are good too and the graphics... *in love*

Though the time the game offers isn't amazing it makes up for it with epic battles in my opinion.

My fav part is when
you must protect the Nariko's father on the bridge
. At first i wasn't used to control the bows with the sixaxis; but when i reach that part, it was really fun to aim to the enemies.

I really liked the game, although short it was very fun and looks great. I hope they make a sequel :D

Your posts are way too brief. Please put more effort into them or you'll recieve an infraction.Thank you.

Yeah, I can't get enough of the noise it makes when you guide it all the way into a random unfortunate face, lol it's like punching a hole in a melon

Overall, i'd say it is a good game except for the fact that it's too easy. Once you get the hang of the sixaxis controls, it really doesn't present much of a challenge. (Although it took me a fair while to just get the hang of airborne combos, which kick ass. If you have this game, and haven't tried an air combo, do it now. It is fun.)

Was genuinely impressed with the facial expressions on the characters' faces, like when you first meet the bad guy (forgot his name). Although I have to say I was slightly annoyed at how much they poached from God of War, like the panoramic views and context-sensitive action sequences. I get to a cutscene and I hear "Nariko" and think "That should say Kratos, shouldn't it...?"
