Hardest Boss

Necron, hands down. I was owned so badly, I wanted to cry, mainly, how does a level 80+ party get their ass handed to them!

You lost at level 80 my charaters were 50 and i thrashed him... i'd haveto say the hardest battle was the guy you had to verse in that room were the stairs go into the eye on the final place

I'm up to 2nd disc (half way through 2nd Disc) And I would have to say it would be the Antlion in Cleyra! Hell Hard MAN! Took me 6 damn turns!

btw death child has the best ffix team trash necron at high 40s and 50s

re

the bosses were too easy to suggest the hardest one...however, it u haven´t learn some abilities from the weapons (like jelly, loudmouth, antibody, etc), necron can get a bit annoying...

All of the regular bosses are really easy if you know what you're doing and you're equipped with the right abilities.

I second that.
I beat him at about lvl 50 or roundabouts. And on the first try. I just beat him about 5 times after that just to see the ending sequence over and over.:P

But does Ozma count? He's optional but I've never beaten him even after about 30 times. Darn...

Personally, I found that for a while, the Gizamaluke boss was a little hard, but that was just because my guys were seriously underlevelled.

However, if we're talking in terms of damage and defense, prolly Necron, and he was easy as hell. Optional would be Ozma, but we're not talking optional here (of course, I STILL haven't beaten that great big ball of crap) -_-

Not sure how but when I first played FFIX my hardest opponent was Nova dragon somehow. I thought necronw as kind of easy assuming I had ribbon on one character and some abilities set as clear headed, body temp, etc.

What level were you?
I was level 25 whereabouts and still got slaughtered.
And I equipped myself right too. -_-

Some of these boss battles are decided some times by sheer luck.

Mighty guard and some ethers are the key to win gizamaluke, I always fight him around lvl 15, I train some before entering his grotto because those lahmia's are such a pain if they are smart ( using entice and might ).

Mighty Guard and Ethers?

Go to the forest west of South Gate and get yourself into a battle with one or more Mandragora.
Eat a Mandragora to learn Limit Glove.
Get yourself in a battle near the Save Moogle in Gizamaluke's grotto.
KO Quina.
Go to the Save Moogle and Save.
Use a Phoenix Down on Quina.
If Quina's HP isn't exactly one, reset and try again.
Run to Gizamaluke making sure you don't get into any battles.
Use Limit Glove on Gizamaluke.
Et voila! One dead Gizamaluke courtesy of the great Quina.

It would have to be Necron me, I remember getting my a** kicked a couple of times at lvl 60 against him. So, I went out, leveled up some more and finally decimated him.

Why does everyone say Necros, is that what it was in your version, because in my version it was Necron.

It's still a valid option, and Gizamaluke's still ridiculously easy. You need a little luck, but I don't consider a battle to be more or less difficult when it's based on luck.
I agree but I still think resetting at a save point is kinda lame :p.
Never had any trouble vs gizamaluke =)

I have to agree with Rydia, had to give it afew goes and leveled up quite abit till i defeated the boss through the road to Burmecia. Don't know why since most of the FFIX bosses are quite easy, suppose that airship boss was alittle tough, forgot what it was called now....

all seemed easy you just got to find their proplems like beatrix just have your men with regan on and she can't do much i have never lost to her even when she was double my lv.
