So, can I join this big chain of friends?

I find it pretty hard to make good worthwhile friends. Everybody at my school is all so concentrated on their looks and who their dating, they don't care about being nice to others, and keeping their morals high. I swear I'm born in the wrong time period. I think so different from the people I'm around normally.
