Can anyone set me straight as to which game (SNES, GBA, PS) version is the hard version(s) and easy version(s). I believe the SNES and PS are Hards and the GBA was easy. Thanks in advance! :)

I have never played the GBA version but I thought that the PS version was harder than the SNES version. I don't know why but I never had trouble beating the SNES version, but when I got to the later parts of the PS version it was a struggle.

You might have been underleveled or something, many factors effect the difficulity of a game 0.o
Anyways, I also found the GBA version really easy!
I played the SNES version, it was pretty hard, the PS version, I havent played much, but I find it pretty much the same, Im in the part where you just got Tella the mage so I dunno about later....

By hard and easy versions I mean the difficulty of the games was set to be different. There are set versions I just don't remember which are which lol. I'll have to find my older gaming magazines.

i could have sworn the snes version in US was the easy version but in Japan was hard and PS resembled the hard version and the gba version was the hard one with extra stuff on it

US FF III on the SNES is Easy type
JP FF IV on the SNES is Hard type
IV on the PS (Chronicals and Anthology) is Hard type
IV: Advance on GBA is a diffrent difficulty thatn the others, easier than the others IMO.

I could be wrong tho

I remember the SNES version being difficult. I was pretty young when I played the game so that could have been the reason. The SNES version was toned down for American audiences because the Japanese felt the Americans couldn't play a tough game.

I think the PS version in the hardest. I'm pretty sure they brought it back to the difficulty that the Japanese version was. That damn wall!

There was two versions of Final Fantasy 4 released in Japan... Final Fantasy 4 and Final Fantasy 4 Easy Type... Easy Type as you can guess is a dumbed down newbie version of Final Fantasy 4... The company didnt think US players could complete the original so they released Easy Type in the US as Final Fantasy 2 because the original 2 and 3 werent released here because the NES had pretty much died off here and where wasnt a reason to so to avoid confusion they renamed it FF2... FF5 wasnt released here for the same reason and FF6 was renamed to again avoid number confusion...

The Playstation version is the original hard version of Final Fantasy 4... not sure about the GBA version since I havent played it...

But thats pretty much it...

Really, ther isn't any diffrence in diffulculty between them that i have found, except the fact that the SNES version didn't give you that much gil, but gave you more EXP. the PS Version was the complete opposite, since it gave you more gil and less EXP. the GBA was by far the easyest to me, but I don''t really know since I've beat that game god knows how many times. but this is how I would rate them tho since I will soon start spouting storyline spoilers that will ruin the game if I continue.....
1) PS
2) SNES
3) GBA

I like the way they think.

Really?
I see... so.. the SNES version I played for a bit was a translated one, since the difficulty was similar to that of the PSX version I completed.
Sweet.

I'm playing the GBA version right now and it's a breeze...I can literally fight each battle without having the enemy take a turn at all. I'm not sure if the PS1 verion of the SNES version is harder, but the GBA one isn't so bad.

Since you likely played the PS version after, you were already experienced. Going through a second time, we may be more confident and level up less and then think it's harder :) Every game is different, strangely, even if not usually in significant ways.
