i was wondering how many others found and defeated Hades and Ozma...

i did, i beat Ozma first altho he was the stronger of the two, only cuz i didnt even know Hades existed at the time, its easy finding Ozma as long as u do the Chocobo hot and cold. I accidently stumble upon Hades when runnin around as well...
 
I found ozma when I beated Hot&Cold and gave the friendly critters all they wanted... but I only knew about hades because i found it on the internet... Hades was easy for me... but ozma took me some time to beat
 
ozma took me a really long time to beat, and i never did all the nice critter things so it was even harder for me XP but i agree hades was way easy
 
Hades didn't even make me break a sweat. Ozma was...a tad difficult, but like all ff9 bosses one practice and you can do it!
 
I'm the direct opposite. I found Hades easily, and didn't know about Ozma until I stumbled upon the videos of the battles on YouTube. (Specifically the one with the Level 1 Party. I don't intend to try that though)

It was pure luck though, when I found Hades, I was searching for any possible treasure. More so since there was a hidden area, which I found out about. It only made me more curious to look around, and I ended up meeting this boss.

He did kill me on first encounter though. Being curious, I patiently waited for him to finish his countdown, and got wiped out with low HP by Doomsday. Well, after that, I returned with a vengeance and literally slaughtered him.

As to Ozma, after finding out, I quickly rushed to complete Chocobo Hot & Cold and found him. But he was simply too powerful, and I was simply too lazy. So I never defeated this guy. Not forgetting to mention I have not helped those friendly monsters. It was probably going to be an impossible match.
 
not impossable, like i said earlier, u just gotta level up rediculously, and hades was beat in the first min i faught him, i was afraid of what his countdown would do so i quickly went all out and was veary dissapointed with the difficulty of this feat...too easy
 
I found them both but only beat Hades. Ozma was pretty hard when I first fought him because I was only around level 55 at the time and by the time I could level up more, my game got stolen so I didn't really get the chance to beat him but I do tend on getting the game again and having my revenge, mwahahaha, lol.
 
In just beat Ozma for the first time today. I must say, it wasn't nearly as difficult as I expected to be from what I've heard. Beat Hades on a previous playthrough but never bothered with the hot and cold stuff until this time, so I didn't even know Ozma existed. I didn't know there was a connection between Ozma and the friendly monsters until I read this, so I didn't do those.
 
Hades was fairly easy for me to beat, but I was at a ridicously high level. Ozma was a little more difficult, I didn't beat it the first time I tried it, but the second time was no problem for me.
Ozma was a little harder for me to find, because I really didn't like the Hot & Cold game. I found Hades fairly easy, just by exploring.
 
Me and my brother both play final fantasy 9, but he got further faster as i spent most of the time starting again xD, being this way, my brother found both hades and ozma before me, he beat them both (but with ozma he struggled)
I am waiting until I have everyones best weapon and high leveld, before i attempt it :)
 
on my first four playthroughs I didn't put much effort into the game. I am replaying it now. first try hades completely decimated me. I put on all the auto - and he was really easy. Im raising money for synthesis shop from him and black mage village (not to mention I need to find that friendly nymph) before doing ozma.
 
well hades is fairly easy to beat but you just need some skill with him just don;t wait for hades to use his countdown for his doomsday sword and if you have reflect2x you can reflect his spells and there;s also a skill that makes garnet sara's magic stronger and just use shock on him same worked for ozma and on a side note ozma has two sides that one is weak against physical and also again'st magic just make sure you find all the friendly monsters your'll have an easyer time fightng him.

when i last fought him i has to use one dragon crest and about three shocks and when i was using quina i used limit glove on him

all this stuff about finding all the friendlies...i never did it, im not even sure of what all of them r...it really isnt necisary, all it does is open ozma to physical attacks, and i never used any physical attacks at all in the battle...it really made no difference to me
 
I beat the both of them on my first plat through, Ozma was obviously the harder one of the two. The second time through, I leveled up ridiculously and got to the sky garden before I got to Memoria. I beat Ozma first, and then when I went to fight Hades in Memoria, he actually made a comment in regards to Ozma, "You've defeated Ozma?!" he said as he quivered before me. As for the friendly creatures, I've played through FF9 about 8-10 times over the years, not once have I defeated the friendly monters before Ozma. I beat them all after I fought Ozma once, and the last friendly says "Reach the round guy. Oh you've already beat him? Oh well." or something along those lines.
 
Hades was no problem and like some of you guys I also stumbled across him.

Ozma.... I stumbled across him the first time I played through the game.... I don't know how many times I've played FFIX but I still haven't been able to defeat him. :/
 
practce, level up like mad crazy, thats all the advice i can give, finding all friendly monsters seems to have helped others...
 
I found both of them and only beat Hades. Ozma was really freakin hard and I only tried once...that was enough. But Hades, that fight was completely worth it. Once you get his Synthesis shop then Steiner really becomes a major powerhouse character. Even more than he was already.
 
I had much more trouble with Ozma than with Hades. Got lucky findin both of them though.
 
ozma gave more problems than hades.. the first time i encountered it, i just found it by accident.. of course i lost because i did'nt know what i was going to face and my main characters were all melee range.. zidane, stiener, freya and amarant.. i looked for those lucky monsters to give them the gem that they want and then when i found the last one, it said ''you can now reach the round guy".. after facing it once again, i laughed because ozma killed itself.. yeah.. ozma killed himself.. wahahahaha!! lucky doomsday black magic..
