Playstation Guitar Hero

Bump'd because I just got 3. Finished the career on easy, and just getting used to doing it on medium. It's a hell of a lot harder to play on medium than Rock Band was. It just seems to go much faster, and is a little more "spread out" in the fact that you're often switching constantly between the notes. I'm just about used to it, but I can't quite get the hang of doing solos on it. D:
The solo in Raining Blood fucked me over just on easy though, so I'm not looking forward to trying that.
 
Yeah, Raining Blood is a bitch of a song. :/

You'll pick it up pretty fast, though. The gulf between easy and medium isn't all that hard to overcome, it's just the gulf between medium and hard... it takes much more getting used to. :wacky:

How difficult did you find DragonForce in the credits? :cassy:
 
It wasn't as hard as I was expecting from what people told me. There were just bits that went on for too long, and my fingers started feeling a bit stiff. That was on easy though.
One problem I seem to be having is whenever I'm doing Knights of Cydonia. I'll be holding a long note, and then suddenly it'll cut out, and after that the guitar seems to really lag, even on menus when I'm scrolling through. Don't know if that's just me, or a fault or what, but it's annoying because that's probably my favourite song on the game. D:
 
I'm familiar with notes cutting out mid-way, especially with the green button. There shouldn't be any lag, though. o.o You'll find DragonForce on medium a whole lot harder, my friend. :cassy:

Speaking of Knights Of Cydonia, I finally managed to 5 star it on expert difficulty. :cassy: It took me an age to get used to the last minute or so of the song. :gasp:

Ugh, I've had this problem as well, except it's happened to me on like 5 or 6 other songs in addition to Knights of Cydonia. I thought at first that something was just wrong with my controller, but I'm not so sure anymore. One thing I do know for sure is that it's quite annoying -__-

As for my favorite song, I'm going to have to say Prayer of the Refugee by Rise Against. I don't have GH1 or GH2, otherwise I'd pick one from them too.
 
I can do hard mode now, albeit I can do expert on the Foo Fighters songs and Supermassive Black Hole/Stockholm Syndrome :cassy:

I don't really play it that much anymore, it seems to be one of those games you get bored with after a month or so.
 
I still can't do hard mode. >.> But then again, I haven't played it for months now either, so there's my excuse. I did play it a few days ago though and I've really gotten rusty. I also don't like those annoying special moves that people would do when you're battling against them. I can't seem to figure out how to counter against those and would just wait it out until it's over or press a bunch of buttons carelessly. =/
 
it tells you what do do like it says broke string, and says press @@ colour buttom, and you tap it, or "whammy" you just mash the whammy
easy really
 
Yeah I heard it's easy but I think my problem is trying to press the buttons accordingly and at the same time, trying to figure out what to do. It's quite distracting. I can do the whammy one, but the rest...meh. I really should pay attention to how my siblings do it. I'm just not really good at these type of games, but it's still fun.
 
i love guitar hero. i was relatively good at it from the moment i got it, id finished easy in less than 24 hours after getting it, and i had never played the game beforehand
 
Has anyone gotten the new Guitar Hero World tour game yet? Because it looks pretty cool to me, seeing as how you can customize your own characters and stuff. I'm thinking about getting it soon...

As for GH3, I've beaten it on easy and I've almost beaten it on medium, I just can't beat the final boss for some reason >_> Even if I do beat it, I don't think I'm quite ready for hard mode yet...
 
guitar hero world tour hasn't come out yet. not in the US at least, until i think oct. 29th or something. I'm getting it though. As for the the other guitar heros, i've beaten every game on expert, and i've beaten all the downloadable songs (including the dragonforce songs, and the devil went down to georgia song) :)
 
GH was good but i prefere Rock Band has a more rock feel to it and i can't wait till No.2 comes out next month

I've heard it's better that Guitar Hero, but I have yet to play it. I'm already not that great on the guitar, so I'm scared to see how I do on the drums and singing and stuff >_>
 
I really like this game because of the sweet songs they have. A lot of them are old but I know some of them. My favorite song is Slow Ride on Guitar Hero 3 because it's easy to play and it's a nice song. I'm getting on to be hard, but I still have to play on medium every once in a while. I like to play the guitar but I'm better on controller.
