Guide to making Weapons or Armor

Here is a Simple Guide to make Weapons or Gear so your not always stuck with Lower Level Gear

Ok, lets start with how to make a Weapon

This is how you start,

Step 1:you have to pick a Tool you want to use. I'll explain where you can find a tool right now.. In Midgar the 1st city you start off in, You talk to the Midgar Shop Owner, and ask if there is any Crafting Tools, when you look you'll see a Wood Axe, its only 150 Gil which is really cheap.

Step 2: Click

In your Menu

Step 3: If You see this then you can click the Go Button

Step 4: Now you will see your Components Items.. This is just so you know if you have enough items to create the Weapons you want, now click the Drop down window that has Small Dagger On it.. That will allow you to Pick the type of Weapon or Armor you want to make

Step 5: If you want to make a Small Knife it will cost 5 Component Items
for Example: I want to make a Large Broadsword, I would have to click the drop down menu and then scroll down and click on Large Broadsword, to make a Large Broadsword it will cost 10 Component Items

Step 6: Now that you have picked the sword, you may name it, for example "Blah"

Step 7: Now you have to pick the tool you bought in Midgar earlier. Ex. the Wood Axe

Step 8: Now you scroll down the page, and select what Component i.e Wood Sticks you need to use for a Large Broadsword you need to have 10 Wood Sticks.. So Select the 10 Wood Sticks

Step 9: Now you can scroll up and click the Combine Button

Step 10: now a pop up window will say you created it succesfully if you made sure to pick a name and all that

What's the difference between an item using all one type (ie: wood), and items that are made with a combination of components (half iron, half wood)?

And what sort of tool would you need, Axe or Hammer, to make something with a combination of wood and iron?

... Also, yes. I am trying to make it hard on you. (kidding, of course)

Its Alright Squall, I just figured it would help alot of ppl if they understand how to make anything

Heh, it dosen't matter what tool you use it all the same, the diffrences between the diffrent tools is some of em make Armor stronger if you use that tool.. For the Wood Axe it dosent increase stats to much..

For the Medium Hammer, if your Skills are high enough you can use that instead of the Wood Axe, and increase the stats of the new armor you make

for the Half Iron Half Wood Question.. If you check on the item then you'll notice that the Wood has certain stats and teh Iron has diffrent stats..

So if you mixed Half Wood with Half Iron, you'll make a bit stronger weapon or armor if you made it with Full Wood..

Component Stats
Wood its STR:10 DEF:10 Weight: 5 Enhancement: 0
Iron its STR:20 DEF: 20 Weight 10 Enhancement: 0

The Stats of the Armor or weapon if you had made a Large Broadsword with 5 Wood and 5 Iron using a Wooden Axe

So, basically, it would take from both component types?

Looking at the Iron and the Diamonds... Using one of each, with the rest wood, would make a light weapon, but still taking the full strength of the others?

And I can now sell my axe? Yay!

Yep, if your Wooden Axe is weaker then the next Tool, then you may sell the Wooden Axe
