how awesum is this film i have recently re-bought it on Video and have watched it like 4 or 5 times in the past week i love this film it has all the characteristics of a good film what do you all think about it ?

Its okay. Remember seeing it the day it came out, that was some years ago.
Its of average standard, I still prefer the very cheaply made Japan versions with baddies such as Mothra in. Brings a laugh every time.

Which one is this? The one that came out in '98? I didn't really care for that one at all. I agree with SephirothAlpha. I much prefer the old Godzilla flicks. They were very entertaining.
