Getting Logged Out

I keep getting logged out from time to time while browsing the forums.

I have cookies enabled my temp interenet files are deleted regularly and I know it happens to other people aswell. Also I do not have this problem on other forums.
 
It has just happened to me a few times tonight. I've never had a problem before with the other forums that I go on. I normally automatically log in when I want to go on a forum. I had to sign in just now to come on here.
 
let me get the tut i wrote on FNCF it seems to help the members who were having the same problem as you guys , notify me if it doesnt and ill see if i can think of some other things .

HOW TO STAY LOGGED IN (FireFox USERS)
Step 1 . Go to the Log in screen and enter all your info.
Step2. now clear your Cookies , to do this you must go into your
Tools>Options>Privacy>Cookies tab>Clear Cookies now
alternate only if you know which cookies to clear (basically just the FFXIII.net ones)
Tools>Options>Privacy>Cookies tab>View Cookies>Remove Cookie
Step3. Check the "Remember ME" box
Step4. FireFox users will get prompted to choose whether or not to save there password , choose whatever you want its not to relevant.

Edit: i finally got IE working so here we go.

HOW TO STAY LOGGED IN (IE USERS)
Step 1 . Go to the Log in screen and enter all your info.
Step2. now clear your Cookies , to do this you must go into your
Tools>Internet Options>General>Delete Cookies
Step3. Check the Remember me box , and log in .

HOW TO STAY LOGGED IN (MAC AND SAFARI WEB BROWSER USERS):

1. Open preferences and click on the Security Tab.
2. For the "Accept Cookies" options list, click "Always" or "Only from sites you navigate to" (this avoids cookies from Ad bars).

whereever it says finalfantasyforums.net , just change that to this sites name :P

I have spent hours and hours to figure out this problem and believe me, it had nothing to do with the forums as I've said to Tethar. I'm just glad you figured out a way to solve this, Zero. But do post back if you're still have issues with this...

I'll sticky this thread for further refereance! :)
 
I've had the problem many times, as some of the admins here will know. But when I get logged out, my password never works and I have to reset it all over again.

Hopefully, this will not continue now that the forums have been re-started, so to speak.
 
It wasnt a forum problem , its just that your browser isnt caching or cookieing your info correctly all you really have to do is clear your list before a log in and you should stay logged in , dont feel awkward this is a common problem though out many forums .

Strange , could you walk me though what you do ?
Look log out , clear your cookies , go to the log in screen click remember me and log in and you will be fine .
 
The all cookies cleared screen is what you go to after you log out. So if you get to that screen you have logged out.
 
I haven't had any problems, maybe it's the server or people's cookie settings? IDK :lol:
