What do you think of him?
I think he is a bit incompetent and stupid,
but not really a bad guy.
He isnt the worst US president, he has a terrible reputation due his inability to speak english and the Iraq war.
But is he really that bad?
Honestly i'm ambivalent towards the invasion of Iraq, it was the right thing to do, but it was done the wrong way.
So your views on GW Bush?
PS please no america are so evil ololololol day juz wanting oils n warz

I don't think much of him, considering he once said "'I am driven with a mission from God'. God would tell me, 'George go and fight these terrorists in Afghanistan'. And I did. And then God would tell me 'George, go and end the tyranny in Iraq'. And I did."

Remember, church and state are separate, and I don't think much of people who "let god" tell them what to do.

I heard he once got egged by Canadians when he went to Ottawa.

I am just glad Bush has less than a year in office. I am wondering if the next President is going to be worse. You cannot get much worse than Bush. The dollar has fallen to an all time low. Gas prices are over 3 dollars a gallon. We have been in Iraq for years. It appears to be another Vietnam. I just hope the mess can be fixed.

:ffs:
Serious Area requires serious, constructive and productive posting.

Now back on topic, I am no one to judge George Bush, still I admit that ever since he became a President, the overall economy of the United States has been seriously decreasing due to the amount of money that is spent in order to sustain the war. Yes, war is expensive, very expensive. The whole fighting "terrorism" is just a cover, everyone knows it, the whole deal was to gain more control petroleum in Iraq.

Also each time we get a "Bush" as a president, USA becomes more susceptible to participate in wars. Anyhow, I don't think either Obama or Clinton can be worse than George Bush, then again, I can't underestimate any of those two.

What USA really needs, is for this war to end as soon as possible.

I agree 100%. We don't need to keep wasting our money on a war that no one wants. That money should be put to better use like for homes and other more important matters. There is no reason for us to be overseas. To me, this war is more over religon, like many of our wars. They see our God as an enemy and therefore must eliminate us even if it costs thier own people. What we need to do is get out of there so they can see they arent, and never was, an enemy in our eyes. Bush must realize that.

No it wasn't for "God", it was for money and power. Terrorism was just an excuse. Yeah, I know that they hit us hard when the events of 9/11 occurred, but we've learned how to left the past behind. It is unbelievable how this war affected us even more than the loss of the World Trade Center-Twin Towers. Sadam Hussein is dead, the battle should have been over already, it has been rumored that Osama Bin Laden could be dead as well, no one knows for sure.

The War is tearing USA apart, George Bush can't get that.

And that's our problem! We're spending millions looking for someone who is possibly dead! And for what? Even if we find this one person it won't stop terrorism. Bush is creating a bad image for the US. His actions are making us look like greedy power-hungry war pigs, when truly we are just trying to live our lives.

If possible, I'd like our next President to bring everyone of the world together even more.

Agreed 100%

Try telling that to him. Yes, George Bush had somehow made USA look as a very greedy country. Though it's quite ironic, how the economy in USA is going down to hell if this continues.

Yes, I sure hope the next president has more brain and less thirst for petroleum.

That's because republicans believe in national debt. The more the debt, the better which. Republicans believe in more of a supply economy. I'm too lazy to explain it so here's a definition:

Supply-side economics is a school of macroeconomic thought that argues that economic growth can be most effectively created using incentives for people to produce (supply) goods and services, such as adjusting income tax and capital gains tax rates. This can be contrasted with Keynesian economics (or "demand side economics"), which argues that growth can be most effectively managed by controlling total demand for goods and services, typically by adjusting the level of government spending. Supply-side economics is often conflated with trickle-down economics, a derogatory term given to right-leaning economists' views by political opponents
The most likely the main reason why were falling into a recession because of the gas prices. The companies are raising the gas prices. Think about it... Gas goes up, food prices go up, clothes, etc etc. Last week Congress were telling the oil companies to stop raising prices. Gas companies don't care, they're still making billions. Hopefully congress grabbed their attention and have these companies start lowering the prices.

Remember a recession is a negative economy growth, not a crash. The US economy is still holding strong believe or not.

Honestly, I don't think Bush is that bad... Sure, he was rather shitty on the way he handled things but I don't believe he broke his oath. His speeches made him stupid as well but meh, what can you do? Would you rather see Al Gore or John Kerry in office? Hahahaha!

Anyways, there were worst presidents than him such as "Old Hickory", Andrew Jackson. Heh, he pretty much fucked over the Native Americans and the US. Two months after the Cherokees won a supreme court case against Georgia he created the Indian Removal act. It was for all of the Indians to move West. Also Andrew Jackson brought the United States into a depression. He basically withdrew all of the US money and sent it to each state. He violated his Oath because to draw money from the Treasury you need Congress to approve it.

Also John Adams was a bastard, he made laws that would prevent him from winning the next election. Pfft and you think George Bush is stupid? Think again. Does the name Jimmy Carter ring a bell?

I think its rather more than that Julius, thats an overly cynical view.

Remember the rwandan genocide in 94?
The UN are too pathetic to do anything, and america, quite rightly goes in there and prevents the genocide.
Iraq was run by a dictator who persecuted and killed people because he felt like it.
Sure petrol prices have gone up, maybe you'd like them low at the cost of innocent lives?
Lets not forget who supported and kind of insured saddam came to power.
America owes a debt to Iraq for inflicting Saddam on them, so they felt they had to do something.
Part of their reasoning was to ensure the supply of oil, but since when has war had nothing to do with national interests?

As for the recession, i'll explain that real quick.
Banks decided to have interest free for the first 24 month mortages to sub-prime borrowers, ie people who cant really afford to pay them back, or have bad credit ratings ect.
So when it was time to start paying the interes on the mortages/ home loans off, they couldnt afford to, which had a domino effect on other businesses.
Suddenly house prices absolutely plummet, your house was once worth $300,000 now its worth $150,000. People lose confidence in companies = very bad for the stock market. People lose confidence, and stop spending money which is even worse.
If you want me to explain it more just ask.

Plus you have higher oil prices plus increasing inflation.

And none of this is Bush's fault, same would have happened with any republican president.
If you had a democrat things wouldnt be as bad, but still very bad. Because neither like government intervention into the market.

Even if we find this one person it won't stop terrorism.
However you cant be seen to not care about getting Obama.
And if they were to catch him, i wouldnt be supprised if they execute him publicly, it sends a huge warning, Dont fuck with us.

lol jackson is probably the second worst president, Buchanan is worse imo though.

Executing Bin Laden would in itself be ignorant nevermind executing him publicly. Its pointless executing terrorists, its exactly what they want us to do, they want us to make a martyr out of them, terrorists will happily give their lives, whether by suicide or death penalty to ensure that their beliefs are spread worldwide...and its working. Nevertheless, killing Bin Laden won't stop terrorism as its because of religion they are doing it not him, and also due to the fact that America and Britain are no better than terrorists.

As for Bush, I'm not going to comment because he only ever gets negative press in the news and I can't really say if that is what he is or isn't like.

The fact that George Bush admits he's going to war because God told him to doesn't say he's doing it for the sake of lowering gas prices. It could very well lower gas prices, but that doesn't mean that's why Bush is going to war.

For a religious man he seldom goes to church.

It is hard to put my opinion of him into words but here goes: A pretentious, globulous, incompetent, idiotic, cretinous, avaricious and heinous (instead of saying a word that could get me chucked off the forums) twit.

"Every republican knows the importance of bondage between a mother and her child"

"If at first we don't succeed, we run the risk of failure" Amongst others

Surely this is testament enough to this to label this man as a complete turnip head!

:ffs: you obviously failed to read the first post, as everyone has already said, he isnt a good public speaker.
And it was quayle who said 'if we dont succeed we run the risk of failure'.

Orly?
do you have any evidence whatsoever to back this up?
You've just looked in a thesaurus and come up with some words to use for a personal assualt on President Bush.

The fact that George Bush admits he's going to war because God told him to doesn't say he's doing it for the sake of lowering gas prices. It could very well lower gas prices, but that doesn't mean that's why Bush is going to war.
Considering there are a lot of religious people in America, and a lot of politicians with strong religious beliefs, we should take that with a grain of salt don't you think?

I did read them it's just that this is one to voice your opinion about him. It goes without saying that he's not a good public speaker.

No I did not look in a bleeding thesaurus, I am an avid reader of good fiction and I have been since I was eight so enough with these hollow accusations.

yes I am victimising that poor excuse for a president, and to be quite frank he deserves more vitriol than the English language contains!!!

Maybe I got that one about "running the risk of failure" one confused but if we were to list all of the daft things he's said, it would still be a bloody long list.
