I pretty much just gave up on this game after the drama I had with it last week, but I don't really wanna quit

My next destination was Subterra - I think I must have just been lucky getting Ixion, as it was there as I walked down killed it, Id liek to say I took it down with relative ease, but, I didnt....then I came back down. I think I was looking for Seer or summat. But, I got my arse handed to me. Mymain 3 are late 70's, the others are all at least 50 - not too fussed about those. But, I just couldnt fight through the regular monsters. Am I under levelled or underprepared...?

Off the top of my head...Im assuming all my guys are in the maximillian armour and great/grand....? Something helms. The shit you buy off that baknammy chap in the nechrol of nabudis

Weapns, Im abit fuzzy on. I know Basch has the zodiak speak, penelo and vaan I think have 2 handed swords aswel .....excalibur and um...save the queen...? I was thinking of shifting those 2 back to Deathbringers and giving them sheilds, and possibly swapping my embroidered tippets for bubble belts.... but if Im gunna do that, I might aswel rain elsewhere...... even though Im trying to fight my way down to where ever it is I need to fight my way down too

I just pretty much, need help with my set up and whether Im underlevelled or just plain shit

For the Seer, level 70 should be enough (63 I think is the recomended level)

It can be an annoying fight in fairness. I'd say use Sage Rings and Bubble Belts.

He will use Imobilezga, Fearga and Curses you which can cause confusion, and sap/poison. So just hack away at him, not other real stratergy really.

When he brings out Pandemonium, just tank him down. Ignore The Seer at this point though he'll carry on spammin' spells. Wouldn't bother curing either, just use Arise when someone dies, and Bubble whoever hasn't got a belt. Hastega and Protecga help, but the Seer uses Dispelga, so it's upto you whether you want to bother.

Once he's down, time to fight that fishy thing (Slyt is it?) he's immune to Holy, so the Excalibur will be useless. You can beat him fairly quickly if you use Reverse & Renew on him.

Fenrir next, dispel him and watch out for Invert which the Seer will cast. So on the battle log when you see Invert being readied, get the character to start using Curaga. This will be a blessing in disguise though, as it'll restore your MP after the Fearga drains it all. Use Curaja to keep everyone alive.

Phoenix now, so either change you weapons to bows/guns or use telekenisis on him. He has a high combo rate, so keep and eye on your hp.

Finially, the Seer. Just hack him down, when he charges Scathe, take your party leader well out of the way, so you can bring the other two back if they die.

My guys were around low 70's at the time I took on Seer and sub-terra myself. You did get lucky with the Ixion hunt because when I was watching Aztec go after him, Ixion was right there as well waiting for him. However, when i had to face that guy, I had to go all around clearing enemies and taking the elevator to the next levels to get him to appear.

As for Seer and the other enemies down there, try to stay in one spot. Those enemies will appear around you no matter what. If you stick together with your whole aprty you'll be able to pick off one enemy at a time much easier.

How well are your Gambits set up? Do you use them much and is Curaja < 40% HP one of your top ones? It saves a crap load of time rather than doing it manually and it's a reasonable time to do it when they get that low so they aren't close to death, but they still ahve less than half their HP.

I pretty much just have curaja - 60% hp, set for penelo, if its getting tricky, il switch vaans on aswel. Then its generally just set to attack any/telekenisis flying and steal hp 100% for one character, which I will tur off on occassion if Im being ambushed by too many enemies, it gets annoying when I see someone repeatedly stealing grrrrr

It was just, I walkeddown there and got humiliated sooo bad, and after being stuck in that crystal for hours I just turned it off in a huff <_<

Slyt is easily taken care of with....Oil and Firaga :gasp:

Seriously, easiest boss fight in FFXII kid, and Im guessing it'll be like it with the Seer guy :gasp:

Cheers guys and girls, I went round much slower than just running in head first, I also removed Penelos steal gambit, she was running off andgetting me in all sorts of trouble - I finally got through the place last night. I'm sure I'l be back there for levelling though >_>

Can't say I'l be wandering and further than the first 2 levels though, far too many status ailment monsters in Abysal or w/e it's called. I dun like the Pharos
