Intermittently playing on VI on my phone, been stuck for about a week, I'm trying to recruit Gau, got my dried meat, i just can't find the command to allow me to throw it, anyone help?

It's in the items command, or at least it was in the GBA version .

Did you figure this out? I'm having the same issue. When I go into Items, then click on Dried Meat, I can only give it to the two on my own team. Giving it to Gau isn't an option.

In the original classic FF games you could always apply items to enemies if you wanted to, it just wasn't really a documented feature--albeit a very handy one, like Phoenix Down on undead-type enemies. Surely there's a way to switch which side you're applying your items to? Have you tried tapping on Gou himself to see if that switches the target?
