Game connection's

Who else think's there should be more connections between the numbered final fantasy game's?

Im not talking about like a huge crossover where yuna, cloud, sephiroth, lightening and squall all go backpacking across Ivalice.......... although that does sounds really cool...

I mean like small things like that connection in X-2 and VII, how shrina grew up to create the company and it led on to the event's of VII.

It would just be fun to think that all these world's exist along side each other y'no, like they all happen on different times on different planets but they are all part of a huge series of event's happening to the universe.

So, yay or nay?
 
I cant say i care either way. You do get little connections. Theres quite a few in FF9. Weapons store and the end cut scene. I think because theyre few and far between is what makes them nice. If they happened constantly they wouldnt really be interesting as theyd be a normal occurence.
Also with that in mind each numbered Game is different from any other one. Different characters, worlds and stories. So it doesnt make much sense or benefit in anyway to have constant reminders of other FF titles popping up. If i want a reminder, il go play the other games ;))
 
Im not really wanting constant reminders in every game either, that would be weird...

The shrina connection from X (2) and VII was cool because it left a lot to the imagination, it showed a kid called shrina saying he want's to extract life energy from the planet for human use. So your imagine immediately goes to him growing up and starting the company where it eventually goes out of control and lead's to the events of VII.

Im not talking about reference's, although those are always nice to. I certainly dont think it would be annoying in a 40+ hour game to have a few seconds of "Hey, i get it! It's talking about VIII!".
