Front Mission Evolved... Dated for February?

Square Enix says Front Mission Evolved is a spring 2010 game. Xbox.com says something else.

According to the Japanese product page, Front Mission Evolved is due in stores on February 25, 2010. It seems like this release date (leaked date?) is just for Japan, though. The US and UK pages have a “TBD” target. Double Helix’s Mechwarrior-like Front Mission game will compete on sales charts with No More Heroes: Heroes’ Paradise and Borderlands, if it’s released then.

SE hardly ever localised the Front Mission games in Europe, so I can't say I've ever played the games or be excited for one.

But I know Evolved will be different in that it will be a more action-like game than a strategy RPG game. This seems to worry me about SE's new direction. Obviously they gave the mandate to Double Helix to make the game, and it just shows the extent they will go to appeal to the west.

A Front Mission action game doesn't exactly scream a great game to me. I have a cynical feeling that it will end up like the Transformers movie games.

Meh, I think it appealed to me at first but I generally got more and more turned off everytime I watched the gameplay. It's really not my thing. I don't know whether February means just Japan (though with it being on the Xbox site I doubt it) but considering FFXIII is out early March it's probably not a wise move to release it then - if it is released worldwide.
