Hmmm, possibly, I had a period where I didn't visit that section for a while so it might have been then, hence I may have missed it D:
I'm not really sure though, no one ever seems to put themselves forward when this question gets brought up xlolx so no wonder people think we don't have anyone xD
I still go on the basis though that the person who makes the skin would be best coding it too! :gasp:

When you click on a thread, you can hold the CTRL button at the same time: this opens the thread up in another tab, allowing you to navigate as many forums as you like at the same time. That should substitute.

"Edit: I just realized how you guys have already mentioned skins. When I was a Super Mod over at another forums, we had this guy who was just excellent with making skins. Since we don't have that here I guess, it'd be a bit hard. My ideas for skins though would be something to do with FF7, or something to do with the Final Fantasy games. For example, having Cloud at the top with an introduction to FFF as a banner, or something like that. Then the background could be the colors of FF7. Anyways, if you guys really would like to create some new skins, I might be able to get a hold of that guy to help us out."

That'd be beautiful: if you manage to get in touch with this person, point him in the direction of our Administrators (Mitsuki, BustaMo and Shiva) and our Site Owner, Lord Golbez.

Just to point out something. We could have a skin contest, where people would design the text and stuff. Then send that to one of the skin makers for ipb skins, and they would send us a css skin text file. That would allow us to have a well designed skin that is usable here.
 
I really think the solution to that skin issue has to be getting a multi-skin forum, where this "dull" one is the standard and people can customize it to their tastes. The problem is that so many forums have wild and unique skins... that are just so off-putting to others that it's not a good way to attract new members. This skin may be dull but it's not extravagant and doesn't turn anyone away. We need the multi-skin forum if we're going to entertain the idea of a different skin.

I know we need a tech admin for that. I'm just saying, until we get one, it's a non-issue. The whole topic needs to be tabled.

Is that something standard to a computer or is it something we have on FFF? I never knew this. It would be handy to have a thread listing little things like these as im sure theres members out there like myself who had no idea they could do this. Its really quite helpfull.

Well, I've used it on both my computer and my mum's, on both Firefox and IE, as well as the school computers. I think it's a standard thing on computers and it's just the shorthand version of right clicking on a link and "opening in a new tab". You can also hold SHIFT and click on a thread to "open in a new window".
 
Crtl+T also opens up new tabs in the same window. Ctrl+N opens up new windows. That really comes in handy for me, especially if I need to browse more than one thread.
 
Ahh its very handy to know, i remember the first time i realised you could zoom in using ctrl + i was lost for ages i didnt know what the hell was goin on.xD
On track with the thread. You cant really win all round with the skin issue i dont think, everyone is always gunna have a preffered colour theme. I love the current skin tbh and i like the fact there are loads of forums on FFF. Total opposite oppinion of the thread starter xD

Tbh I am the same way right now. I like the skin here really well. I just kinda wish for a different image set.
