Hey I have a forum starting up and I would like for people to join :) I don't care if you don't visit everyday but signing up will help us get noticed.

It is a general forum just so you all know :)

What kind of software does it run on? What's the forum's focus? How much is currently set up?

Also I find it hard to take notice of someone who's first post on a forum is to invite people to their own forum..

Where do I rush to not sign up?!!!

But seriously, a person who is advertising a forum without any activity?

I can get trying to poach users from other forums, but have some common sense.

Who the fuck is going to follow a new member to a new site with a total activity count of 1 thread(I don't count the post since it was an edit), which was an ad?

Jus' Sayin'.

Hey now, this is an advertisement board, people. Lets remember that. ;)

True.. I was just giving my opinion though, not saying he can't post. If it were me i'd atleast pretend to care a little and maybe even look semi-interested in the forum i've tried to poach members from. But maybe i'm old fashioned :monocle:

Though, should it really be considered an ad? I mean, we don't have any link to click.

It's like saying "I have something to say", then not speaking. Doesn't make much sense to me.

I remember Coloholics PM(s)'ing me about joining their forum!

I felt valued and liked!!!

What has happened to the world of online member-poaching?!!!
