Hi everyone,

Just a quick question for anyone with a bit of technical knowledge.

If I were to import the final mix versions of KH/KH2 or the KH Re:chain of memories, what hardware would I need to play them? (as cheaply as possible...)

your best bet is swapmagic... it the cheapest and the saftest.... you can get swapmagic for about £20 ($35)

you should import them.. their amazing games XD

Do I not need an NTSC adapter or something for my TV?
and
Where's the best place to purchase the games?
Is it hard to play with Japanese text?

All you need is swap magic and the little key thingy that should come with it. (Depends on PS2 model)

It's not to hard to play if you've played KH/KH2 already, and Re:COM is available in english by the way

I just meant from an equipping items/abilities etc point of view :)

Where can I get swap magic? The one on amazon.co.uk is for the big PS2, mine is a slim one with a flip lid thing like the old PS1 has.

Forgot about abilities, you'd have to look up "Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix+ Abilities translations" through google unfortunately.

As for items, the numbers are not in japanese, so that makes it a bit easier in seeing what is good/bad, not to mention the numbers appear blue if it's better, red if it's worse. As for potions and stuff, I believe they use numbers like 40%, 60%, etc. in the description.

Now, for Swap Magic, you should do a little research yourself to make sure, but I don't think the disc is specific to PS2 versions, you just need a specific tool to your PS2. I have the original PS2, so I'm not sure what you need exactly. You can also search youtube for videos.

Cool, thanks for your help.

Do you know a good place to order swap magic, KH:ReCoM and KHFM/2FM?

Depends on where you live, swap magics official website has a large list of places.

As for Final mix, I got mine from Play Asia, I think they're about $35, and I don't remember how much shipping is.

Ebay is also another option

Yeah, I tried the UK links and they're all dead :/

If I download it from somewhere and burn it to disk, would it still work?

It most likely would not, the PS2 would recognize it as corrupt data.
Your best bet is Ebay probably
