So I'm reminding myself about what happens in the KH series, trying to watch the FM+ cutscenes in Japanese and then it hits me: the US got these scenes as well, did they not? Extra scenes with the Organization, no? Why can I not find them in English anywhere on the internet? Did the US not get these afterall?
 
They only got RE:CoM didn't they? I think Final Mix+ was just left for the Japanese. Although, I could be wrong. :hmmm:
 
If you're talking about the PS2 version of Chain of Memories, it's true that it was originally part of the KH2 FM+ package released in Japan. Except in Japan, the language was in Japanese even though KH1 and KH2 FM+ versions had English dubs.

But yeah, Re:CoM was translated into English for the West and PAL (PAL got it, right?).

However the actual FM+ version of KH1 and KH2 had scenes that weren't included in the first version of KH1 and KH2 - the only version that the West and PAL received Dx

When on Earth was this meant to have taken place? At what point does Roxas know so much about Sora? Why does he disappear in front of Axel? As far as I'm aware, Roxas doesn't know about Sora until he's merged with him again. So what's this scene about?
 
it's my opinion that KH has a buttload of plot holes and that several of these side stories meant to fill them in fact make them bigger. with that in mind, i really don't think we're meant to boggle with the coherency too much - all we need to know is that sora will save the world...again. someday.

i love KH, it's just far too incoherent (complicated if not so - in which case, someone please lay it out for me in easy-to-understand terms :( ) to take all that seriously.
 
@Riku: Don't know for sure, but I always assumed that scene happened right after Axel "died" after fighting all those nobodies with Sora, and maybe his and Roxas' heart (within Sora) connected, and they had a brief, final meeting with eachother. So I'm sure the Roxas in that scene is the one that already merged with Sora back in the beginning of KH2.

@Tmoo: lol, I concur - there's continuity errors all over the place. I mean, I love the story and characters, but I'm scratching my head at a few points too.
 
I suppose we'll have to take it in logical order :hmmm:

First FM+ cutscene - Axel is told to eliminate Roxas by Xaldin.
Second FM+ cutscene - Roxas seems to be back on track to complete Organisation XIII's goal.
Third FM+ cutscene - Saix has told Sora to keep defeating heartless, which I presume takes place at the same time as RE:CoM
Fourth FM+ cutscene - Terra/Ven are seen talking with Master Ansem and you see Aqua's armour.
Fifth FM+ cutscene - The "Room is Sleep" is predicted by Axel to be occupied by another "friend".
Sixth FM+ cutscene - Something about Axel "touching Sora's heart".
Seventh FM+ cutscene - Roxas is shown Sora's name and then it's rearranged to make out "Roxas" so I presume by this point he knows a little already. Through that scene with Kairi maybe?
Eight FM+ cutscene - Roxas sacrifices himself to awaken story.

The latter part I can only presume ties in with 358/2 Days where Xion tells Roxas
that she's only part of Sora's memory and needs to go back, and so does Roxas...

The way the games are laid out are stupid, it's a very good storyline imo but it jumps back and fourth too much. And...we need Final Mix+, it adds to the main storyline, like Terra. :rage:

What's in yellow could not have taken place during Re:CoM unless you mean Saix tells Roxas to keep on defeating heartless.

And what's in Green happens when Roxas is first found by the Organization, unless I am mistaken. The cutscenes in Final Mix+ must not all happen in chronological order. Which would mean that the first cutscene may not be the first event in a sequential timeline :hmmm:
 
Right, I'm confused. I was watching the Birth By Sleep subbed secret ending (so this is going to contain spoilers - though I think minor).

Anyway, DiZ is speaking with Aqua in the Realm of Darkness, and he mentions how "A boy" could save the worlds from being swallowed up by darkness which is followed by Aqua, Terra and Ven saying "Sora". But I thought Riku was originally the intended Keyblade wielder so how do they all know Sora would be the saviour? :hmmm:

Also, I think Roxas looks like Ven because

I'm not sure if Riku being the original wielder is canon. I know we've all accepted it, and it makes sense, but I can't recall anything that would prove it, or say it for certain.

Hey, if they knew that the world would be saved by a Keyblade wielder and his name, maybe they also knew that Riku would give in to the darkness. Or if they knew that Ven would merge with Sora then he'd be able to wield the Keyblade and so carry on their work?

Aqua and DiZ talking is cannon but I don't think everyone saying his name is cannon. I think it way just symbolic that those are the people who Sora is connected to.
I doubt Ven and Terra had that sort of prediction skills.

Yeah that could be possible, I was reading KHWikia, which is where this gets more spoiler heavy now. :wacky:

Aqua sees ties between Sora to Ven and Riku to Terra, and Terra failed his exam to become a keyblade master due to the darkness in his heart. So maybe that's similar to what happened to Riku, especially if Terra sees 'potential' in Riku :hmmm: There's definitely a strong link between Sora and Ven though as it explains Vanitas' appearance.

Also, at the end of Birth By Sleep it shows KHII's ending and Sora says "I have to put back everything that's connected to me".

Sora sacrifice perhaps?
 
Or maybe he has to save all those people from their respective fates as was told at the end of Coded? :hmmm: Maybe in a future release, he might journey somewhere to try and save people like Aqua and Terra from their different problems?
 
Well frack, I've been some what spoiled about BbS - I hate you all :mokken:

I can't remember any canon source saying Riku was suppose to be the original hero, just loads of conjecture from wiki and fans alike. Zexion called Riku "the hero of darkness" in Re:CoM, so there is that :hmmm:
 
All that was said about him was that he was the one that was originally chosen by the Keyblade, but since he chose darkness, it went to Sora instead. So I am not sure he was the hero to begin with :hmmm:
