Pretty much forgotten about this release but it is set to come out in 10 days. Anyone planning to get it?

It's certainly not the direction I wanted the series to go but I'm still vaguely interesting to see what is on offer... though the problem is even if it is a good read it will still come off as wasted potential...

The Amazon Previews show off some pages and it even includes concept art:

While I would have preferred this content to be in the game (or at least the 'game project' in the form of DLC), I'm not averse to Final Fantasy novels. I loved the FFVII Compilation novels (more so than the spin-off/Compilation games). I have yet to read the FFXIII novel so I can't comment on that.

But this FFXV novel? I had forgotten that it was going to be a thing, but I would like to read it. Whilst I share a lot of people's frustrations with the execution of FFXV's plot, I found the concepts of the plot and the world's lore to be rather unique and brilliant. There might be more space to expand on more of that in the novel, so that's what I hope for here.

The pages you have shown here in a screenshot are stunning pieces of concept art, so that alone is a good start.

I do, however, also need to play Episode Ardyn first. I keep forgetting to play that one.
