Yaag Rosch sounds a bit like a dish you would order from an indian restaurant, like sag aloo!

And I have to admit, I noticed him but didn't think he would play such a major role, maybe because I'm just trying to tether my excitement as it probably wont reach Europe til winter 2010!

The silver hair thing is also a bit weird, as you don't really see many young people ( > 40) with a full head of silver/grey hair. And I always thought that it was associated with wisdom. But it will be interesting to see how the character develops.

In general I find the character designs samey and boring lately...and it seems the designers have no problem in announcing that they're no longer being original, i.e. "Lightning is a female Cloud" - yeah, just rehash the previous game designer's characters and change the sex and boom you have a lead character...forgive me for being old fashioned but I still love Amano's character designs, even if all his characters had blonde hair, etc., I liked his style. Nomura's characters were great too, but whoever is designing the characters now (not sure who's who in Square Enix) has the creativity of a bath sponge.
But, of course, it is always necessary to play the game before forming judgments about the characters - but then again, sometimes you CAN judge a book by its cover (think mills and boon ).
