I just got a copy of the Final Fantasy Anthology from Amazon today. I have a newer model ps2 and some parts of the game is really slow. I am used to playing it on the GBA but notice that the battles are kind of laggy. When the characters move up to execute their attacks there is a little slowdown and there is major slowdown when the enemy is dead and disappears. Is this normal? Thanks for the help.

maybe it has a problem when you started buying it try it on diff. ps2's
or try exchanging it to a new one

The Playstation ports of the old games are notorious for their slow load times and lagging, it's normal.

The same problem applies to FFVI aswel, I swear you could make a brew while you wait for it to execute commands. It was so painfully slow that I refuse to play FFVI on my Ps2 again. I don't recall V being as bad, but tbh, it wouldn't surprise me - Id just stick to handhelds if I were you, Id get it for the GBA myself if I eer planned n playing it again, but I dont because I hate it :wacky:
