this is just a rumor i heard from my friend at game crazy but if you notice every final fantasy so far has come out on a nintendo hand held and 7 is the next one in line. not only does it make sense but its also a great idea. now this is just a rumor but this is coming from my friend adam who predicted the announcement of Halo 3, star craft 2 and E3 getting closed to the public. and hes been to e3.(jealous)

but thats all
 
I don't think it would come out for the DS if it was Ported.
I think it would come out for the PSP if it was ever ported because thats where it's spinoffs are going.
 
it'd never come out for the DS. The DS is WEAK in terms of graphical capabilities and you know that it'd piss off almost every real FF7 fan if they released a re-make of Playstation classic on a Nintendo Handheld. No way in hell. Why do people dream this up??? If FF7 ever comes out, it'll be on the PS3. PSP has FF1&2, getting Dissidia and then FF7: Crisis Core. A re-make would definately come out on a bigger console rather than a handheld.

I think that your friend may be on to something with what he said but all the others have good points to. But I think that it might come out on a DS make but not the curent modile maybe a more advanced version that has higher resalotion and better grathiks and it might not even be a nintendo made version it might be a joint desing made by sony and nintendo but I have no idea if they will team up to make a superear modile espashaly for the final fantasy games like 7 and any futcher games that rival it.
 
I think Square-Enix will wait and see if the PS3 sells at least 60 million units before it even considers releasing FF7 on it. I highly , highly doubt they'd ever put an FF7 remake on the DS. The DS couldn't handle the original! Also, i'm sure Sony owns the contract to FF7 games anyway
 
no way I will see something as good as FFVII being reduced to a crappy DS game, just no.

The DS is NOT crap. How would you like if I said something like this...

Please, Square-Enix, the FF7 horse is dead. If you keep beating it, it's going to come back as a zombie (That's a bad thing.) and bite you in the ass. So please don't infect the DS (or any console) with it, they deserve better than that.

how old are you? The DS is shit. End of story. I've had one and the graphics were poor and the majority of games are aimed at kids. The PSP is MUCH better and has better graphics and processing. Get off the site if you think FF7 wont be good remade.

FF7 remains arguably the best game ever made. If they remade it, it'd secure it's place as no.1
 
I happen to be happy with my DS and that the PSP doesn't really interest me much and I could care less about graphics. I have my own opinion and you have yours. And I apologize that I said that FF7 was crap. It's a good game, but sometimes it gets too much credit.

Well in my opinion the ds rocks and any1 who's played ff3 should agree. If ff7 does come out on it then I would buy it straight away.I think the graphics on ff3 are just as good as the graphics on ff7 so that shouldn't be a problem.
 
I doubt it will happen because SE are not about to release the most popular game they had onto a Nintendo console. Im not sure who SquareSoft were with first, but it would be more then likely Sony would snap up the remake.

Not that Im calling the DS, I love both my DS and PSP. If its a PS3 release, then thats my loss as I cant afford one.

SE is PISSED at sony.

so theres a good chance with the new push to get rid of console exclusives that if it ever does get remade it has a good chance to be put on the 360. and the problem with the psp is that there arnt an major selling points for the psp therefore it would be a bad marketing move out the remake on there. the psp is only a one screen DS that had sex with an ipod.minus the touch screen
