In the Ozmone Plains theres suppose to be a wounded soldier ( which i think i found). but i cant give him the potion im suppose to give him. im suppose to borrow a chocobo but he dosnt seem to have one. i travel to the secret [place with my own chocobo but where im suppose to go the soldiers are alvie when there suppose to be dead and they wont let me pass. any help?
 
You can only do what you need to do with the soldier AFTER you do the Golmore Jungle / Eryut Village sections and come back out of the Jungle. He should be right there near the blue save crystal.
