need help on fighting Mateus. she keeps killing me... plus those ice elements are annoying with the curaga... what wepon should i give ashe? right now bashe has a war hammer and the best armour and ashe as a flametongue but it has no effect on the elements... any advice on beating her?

My guess is your probably not levelep up enough yet. Thundara is very helpful in the begining to get rid of his ice pals, or you may want to open with a large mist chain. Then just healing and attacking should allow you finish her off no problem. Hope it helps.

Definitely gotta kill the little helpers first. Devote all of you attention to the little guys regardless of what Mateus is doing. Once you've killed the helpers Mateus goes down without a fuss.
