Well, I got to the part where you can go anywhere with the airship, but I was being an idiot and chose "Sin" and I defeated his Fins, and his head, and then I overwrote my previous save. Now I'm on the boss "Overdrive Sin". The question I need to ask: If I choose to go to the final area without doing anything for the character's ultimate weapon, can I go back after I defeat Overdrive Sin? or will I just have to go on to Yu Yevon and complete the game without getting their celestial weapons? I really need an answer to this, because I'm getting worried that I will never be able to go anywhere such as Remiem Temple, Baaj Temple, or Omega Ruins again... :ohshit::worried:

I'm pretty sure that you can leave again once you've entered Sin. Once you beat Overdrive Sin, you ought to be able to leave again.

I think you can leave at anytime up until you actually fight Yu Yevon, so you should still be able to get the celestial weapons, and go to Baaj temple.

You can leave once you enter by using the save spheres to board the airships again. I will also add good luck when fighting Yu Yevon.

You can go quite fa into sin once, although once you have mooched around past the bits where the floor decides to shoot up and down and you get to another save point that should be on a set of small steps, I wouldn't go any further because I'm pretty sure you can't leave once you go past that point

It's best to get that part done anyway, once you are in Sin, you can do some monster collecting in there

I'm completely positive that you can leave Sin at anytime by simply walking back the way you came, up until a certain point where the ground stairs to raise or fall behind you. After that, you have to keep going forward.

You can leave Sin via the save points; there's a total of two in Sin. The second one marking the boundary of the 'point of no return'. The first save point is located before a boss, at the end of the 'Sea Of Sorrow'.
