Ok I'm 116 hours in and I'm currently trying to platinum FFXIII (79% 3 trophies left), currently trying to 5* alll missions got like 5 left to do.........But the other trophy that seems like a nightmare is the treasure hunter - which is to have held every weapon and accessory.

My idea, (because I'm short on gil and components), is to upgrade a few weapons and accessories turn them into completly different things (through the traphezodrons or whatever) and then NOT save the game, but exit the game and load it again and try upgrading other weapons and accesories until I have held them all at least once. I don't know if it will work because I'm not saving the game, but I have earned trophy's not just on FFXIII but other games without saving the data.

Also what the hell is Bhakti talking about when he say's there is a secret location in ma'habara, I've visited there back and forth a million times using atomos from Sulyya Springs and still nothing. And what's this "whopper of a fal'cie" at Sulyya Springs, I've walked near the waters edge a million times as well and still nothing.

No that won't work.

Holy crap 116 hours? I platinum the game in 75ish. o.0

What exactly is hard about the trophy?

I can help you out if there something in particular that is frustrating you.

As for Bhakti is concern. His message doesn't really point to any clues. Don't take it serious.

I'm assuming you have max out CP since you're at 116 hours.

Just equip collector catalog (make sure you're not using the rare item, you want the common item.) and go kill toise for platinum ignots. Once you have platinum ignots just buy and upgrade all the items that isn't on your checklist yet. It's pretty simple =)

Use the rare item catalog on Shaolong and Long Gui to get your 6 traps and Dark Matter (minimum needed for treasure hunter).

Don't waste time buying those two things, becuase it is ridiculously over price. So stupid you can only sell it back for 9k and 10k too.

I have 20 left over traps, and 20 left over dark matter on my save file when I was hunting for platinum ingots, and gold dust. =(

Ermm well money is the issue but that seems REALLY hard (dont know how you managed it in 75).......But is there any weapon that was rare, which you could only find during the game not off some shop? Because I think I may have missed out on a lot of treasure while advancing through the original storyline.

Also I have no walkthrough or guide to help me on weapon and accessory upgrades.....

One of thing that bothers me is how to fully max out the weapons and accesories, because I heard if you keep using the same components to upgrade it, it's attack/magic wont be at its highest level.

There is no weapon you can't buy from stores. All 48 weapons can be store bought (You have to unlock gilgamesh store from missions though.)

As for the weapons are concerned. Each character has 8 weapons.

Each of those 8 weapon has 3 tiers. However the final tier has the same name. So basically you can have 8 "ultimate weapon" per character, however the stats/abilities of these weapon depend on the 1st weapon.

For example Lighting

lionheart > ultima weapon > Omega weapon is different from here axis blade > enkinder > omega weapon.

You can look online at the final stats of each weapon to find what suits your playing style best.

As for upgrading is concern. The key is to get x3.

Look at it this way. Organic materials gives you a +, and mechincal materials give you a -.

The best way to get x3 is use organic material first. 36 Sturdy Bone, or 36 Barbed Tail gives you x3.

Then once you have x3 you want to use the best mechanical item you have on the item. Your multiplier will then drop back to 0. Once at 0 just add 36 bone, or tail to get the x3 then once again add the your best mech parts.

Once it fully upgraded the item will have a star next to it. That is when you have to transform the item with a catalyst (traps, dark matter, adaminte, etc....)

Most cost effective upgrade mech units are ultra compact reactor (50k, UR), Particle accelerator (10k, PA), and Super conductor (840, SC).

So basically my advice is to buy 36 tails or bones. Get the x3, and then use ultra compact reactor, particle accelerator, or super conductor.

Tier 1 weapons doesn't need much exp so use SC. Tier 2 use PA, and tier 3 you usually need anywhere from 18-27 UR.

As for items are concern don't waste UR on them. Items exp is very small so use SC for earlier tier and PA for later tiers.

Since PSN network is down I am replaying the game and honestly you can platinum it in 60 hours. I'm at 50ish right now and I already finish everything, but treasure hunter. Now it's just a matter of farming platinum ignots.
