Help FFXIII: [SPOILERS] The Proudclad first battle

Ok guys I need help this guy is harder than Barthandelus 2nd time for me Seriously the books strategy is really good but I always end up dying sometime at the middle or end or even beggining. So whats a good strategy Im using Mystic Tower Delta attack and protection. I took out Vanille for Hope so I could use protect Veil etc etc. I have cp grinded alot. My characters are really stong. Lightning has Razor Carbine level 54 and I gave her some attack up items plus the diamond bangel. Her hp is now 4015 along with the others. Fang and Hope have 3800 or so. So plz I know I can beat this guy but I need startegy from you guys. Plz help me out!

Oh God if you had a tough time here you'll hate the second encounter xD

I used Snow instead of fang.

I started with protection (5th) and had hope cast a wide range of buffs. The proudclad spams the same attack for negligable damage so I switched onto mystic tower (3rd) and then tri disaster for the last 40% of his chain gauge.

Switch to solidarity (4th) for minor heals whilst keeping the chain gauge up and when hes staggered switch to aggression (2nd) to deal as much damage as possible.

As he nears the end of his stagger period its vital that all characters especially the leader have 90% or so of their HP bars.

This is when he unleashes his trump card, retaliatory strike. You'll have to endure the hits and SEN has no affect on who he targets. Keep spamming Curas with lightning and let Hope heal until you're safe. Switch to protection to renew buffs and repeat.

This is a battle about concentration and patience first and tactics second.
