First of all, I'm new here and this place rocks. Keep up the good job guys. Now, onto the topic.

I've been playing Final Fantasy for years and I'm always very eager to complete the games. Not only am I eager to complete the normal quest but I'm eager to take my gaming one step further and do challenges. What I mean by challenges is things like Low Level Games, Initial Equipment Games, Solo Character Games, Magic Only Games, and so on.

I was really wondering what is even possible with this game. I haven't completely completed the game yet (just got it on payday, woohoo) so I'm not exactly sure what could be done here. That's why I'm asking you guys and gals what do you think is possible?

Possible ideas could be:

- Perfect Game Challenge (Definitely possible)
- No Crystarium Challenge
- Initial Equipment No Upgrade Challenge
- No Items Challenge
- Speed Runs

If a thread like this has already been made, feel free to lock. I did a brief search but didn't really find anything.

Thoughts?

First off, Welcome to the forums :pikamon:

You forgot solo runs :wacky: I lurvvvvvvvvve solo runs. I don't think I'll plough so much time into this FF though but if I do I'll definately let you know.

Welcome to the forums!

Now onto the challenges.

- Perfect Game Challenge (Definitely possible)
This is probaply the easiest challenge. I think alot of people without even knowing it (like me) always try for a perfect game run on the first playthrough
- No Crystarium Challenge
This was attempted by MasterLL from Youtube.. and that is seriously a huge challenge in itself. The battles take much longer than normal and it's literally extremely hard. Think about the fact you fight a boss you would use around 10 - 15 minutes on, suddenly taking 45 minutes. A very tough challenge.
- Initial Equipment No Upgrade Challenge
Interesting idea.
- No Items Challenge
I think this is quite possible.
- Speed Runs
This is a great idea and already loving it (I like speed runs..)

And I think that was all I had, couse me personally are not that good at comming up with challenges :wacky:

Thanks for the welcoming!

Yes, I miss doing Solo runs on FFVII.

I knew the No Crystarium challenge would be an extreme pain. I think I'm going to try for the initial equipment challenge next playthrough.

Ok, perfect game should be fairly simple as I'm pretty sure in order to get the trophies you HAVE to have fully completed the game.

No crystarium would probably be next to impossible as your main source of strength, magic and HP would be compelttely unavailable, and you would not be able to learn enough spells to even hurt enemies later on.

Initial equipment no upgrades should be doable as i played like this all the way through until chapter 11 by accident...

Solo runs, due to the new battle system where your entire team is revived after every single fight and you are unable to kill team members, it can't be done.

No items would certainly prove a challenge early on in the game, and for those fights where it is useful to get a "free" pre-emtive strike by means of a deceptisol, but this one would probably be fairly easily doable.

Speed runs are always interesting and after a few playthroguhs there would probably be a fairly competitive air around of who could amange it the quickest, retrying fights for wasting even a few seconds xD

So yeah some good ideas, and oen that I think would not work (No crystarium as I'm pretty sure you'd need at least a few of the abilities to even stand HALF a chance agains thte last bosses).
