Help FFXIII: Lightnings Ultimate weapon?? which weapon?

I heard that upgrading through different weapons results in different stats............does anyone know the best weapon to upgrade on for lightning. Also the exact amount of componants am going to need to get it to full power. Does it make any difference if I just keep re-using particle accelerators/perfect conductors to upgrade weapons?

It really depends on what you're going for. Although it kind of loses the "boosts" in STR or MAG, I found that since she is a decent Commando and a decent Ravager upgrading the Blazefire Saber (her initial weapon) is pretty good. It gives an even boost to both STR and MAG when maxed, so she becomes easily flexible with needing to be a physical fighter or a ranged caster.

For me, I found Blazefire Saber the best. However, as I said, it depends on what you're going for. If you were looking for her to be more MAG oriented, or STR oriented, let me know and I can give you some tips on what weapons to use.

preferably STR

I just want a weapon good enough of hitting the limit so I can defeat the long gui.......I've got the 2 genji gloves (for Light and Fang) which I equip for both Fang and Lightning but when I stagger the long gui I can't go enough damage to defeat it and end up dying when he does ultima.

And also if you know the best one for Fang (STR orientated) and Vanille (MAG orientated).
