i am needing to know where my party needs to be at abbility wise going into chapter ten like in hp im between 2000-3000 how much more do i need im using fang light and hope

going into chapter 10 thats actually more then enough... i used snow hope and vinille... and hope had like 1100 hp, still lower then what you have... the hardest boss to me was bahamut at this point and today i left gran pulse, (without giving spoilers) you will be fine..

if you REALLY want to do some training (and i recomend it anyway, it was worth it) since the 8th crystogram level is riddiculus, theres a great method to train quickly

again without spoilers, when you find yourself in an area called "the central expanse" that reminds you of the calmlands from ffx, and you see a short cutscene about the ceith stone missions, save at that savepoint and go a bit to the east, following the edge of the map and youll come to a king behamoth. this badboy will give you 4000 cg points per kill and takes 50 seconds to kill

follow this guide to kill it:

temporarily switch out your fang OR lightning for vanille and set up this paridigm

COM/RAV/SAB with vinille as sab..

get the pre-emptive strike on him every time (its super easy the behamoth has a huge blindspot and will turn around to face the other direction every time, if not just wait 20 seconds) if your using your comando as a party leader (i recomend it) just wait untill the ravager staggers it and go in for the atk, launching it into the air, as soon as your sab gets deprotect, deshell, and imperil up, switch to

COM/RAV/RAV your attacks will start doing like 30kish damage per swing... no joke

the only trick to this is to make sure it stays launched during the stagger, if it gets below 50% hp and stands up, your screwed, so keep him launched..

when hes dead, keep running east untill the red "dot" on the map that shows where you killed him goes off the minimap, turn around, and he will be respawned (convienently enough, 86% of the time hes facing the other direction so you can go RIGHT in for the pre emp)

p.s. this area is in chapter 11, and your more then ready for it... i got this info from

http://www.gamerzines.com/guides/final-fantasy-xiii/final-fantasy-xiii-levelling-guide/

and it worked perfectly for me, im still in chapter 11 and im kicking the ever living hell out of stuff, the infamious prodclad was no match for me

well king b kicks my ass every time im wanting to know now that im at the part where i do missions how strong before i continue the story becouse i dont want to sit there an do them all

You don't have to even do a single mission to keep advancing. They're completely optional. In fact, I only did three before I continued from the Archylte Steppe.

I would recommend that you get quite a few of the crystals filled out as possible in your characters' default roles so far. You'll need them for later battles. I can't remember what my characters' HPs were when I continued the story - probably 3000-4000 somewhere.

If you can't kill the King Behemoths in one stagger, I would recommend that you roam around killing weaker monsters to gather some CP to spend on. If you do manage to kill King Behemoths on a regular basis, you're probably good enough to continue.

There is a spot north-westwards of the Steppe near a save spot where a King Behemoth and a Megistotherian are fighting. Approaching them always gets you a pre-emptive strike and you should kill the Behemoth first and quickly before it stands up. It's a great spot to CP farm.

Hope that helps even a bit. ^_^
