ive put off fighting the final boss for a bit, and now i just want to get it over with. all my characters are maxed out in all major roles (as in level 4, because i havent unlocked crystarium 10) , and they're like around level 2 for all the minor roles. if anyone can recommend a good team to get through the final bosses that would be cool

Fang (main character), Lightning and Vanille (or Hope but make sure you use diamond bangle(s) because his HP is REALLY low). I wouldn't bother maxing out the minor roles you should still be able to do it on LV4..........plus levelling up on the minor roles takes a lot of CP for low level nodes (like +10 HP).
The key to winning this battle is to stagger him. use the Relentless Assualt paradigm (COM,RAV,RAV) and then when he's finally stagerred use Agression - of course you won't be able to do this just using the two so heal often using combat clinic (SEN,MED,MED). If you feel you've stagerred him quickly (before his secondary attack which resets the the tagger bar) then switch to (SAB,COM,RAV or if your low on HP SAB/MED/MED) and use deprotect and deshell this will weaken him EXTREMELY, and you'd be able to inflict a LOT more damage than usual - keep repeating this strat. Also if you manage to stagger him when there's around 25% - 35% left I'd say summon Bahamut and finish the job off, if you don't he does all kinds of attacks at that stage like weaken you by inflicting poison,deprotect,debravera.

The second form of Orphan is easy, just build his stagger bar up using Relentless Assualt and then finish it off with Agression. This shouldn't be a problem it's much easier then the 1st form I think I got 5* it first time round.
